I’m having trouble understanding what Ali Shaheed actually did both in Tribe Called Quest and the Ummah. I know a QTip or Dilla beat when I hear it by the type of harmony and drum sounds but most people mistake Ali as being the guy who did the beats for the first 3 Albums when it was actually Q-Tip. Most of the work since the group shows this. Most of his decent work has been part of a collaborative effort such as with Raphael Sadiq

I Just hope that, my ways dont push away the love that we both have. [ Maybe had.] Maybe everything we did is lost in our past. I just wish we could talk, maybe laugh. Walk this path, together. ¡B I P O L A R!
