True. They always have. That's why they've always recorded with multiple vocal layers, but perform mostly with one plus some background samples. However, bear in mind... that this is Martin Grech! THAT's why it's sounding perfect to you. Not because it's two any live vocalists. But because it's the guy who co-wrote and co-recorded the song's lyrics... AND because it's fuckin Martin Grech!

Fuck me, Michael Lessard is one of the only people I’ve ever seen live who compares to Dan. The band as a whole. Tesseract a genuinely exceptional live but I saw them once in Koko and Contortionist supported them - this is before I knew who Contortionist were - and they stole the show, maybe because it was so unexpected but still, The Contortionist like Tesseract are consummate professionals and true performers.

I don't even know what to comment... been listening to this song thousand and thousand of times and not a single one of them has lacked massive goosebumps. What you guys think is music is actually a journey to the listener. Also... Martin with Dan is orgasmic ... never seen a better duo, although probably speaking from all fans we can see a Dan/Ashe duet. That would probably melt me in the cracks on the floor. Once again, unreal performance.

@bratzelwurks

(5 months late) you got a good point there, but i see it the same way here. Dan has the power, Martin usually uses falsette whenever he has to get the high notes. When he does without, his voice gets shaky. And seeing it like this, i think Ashe would be a better fit than Martin. This is still beyond anything i've heard so far though. But the fantasy of Ashe and Dan together.. god lord. I'd love that.

Is there something I should know Of the colours that you show? I remember those words In the back of my mind There is an old phantom It isn't a secret this mind's shrouded in history It isn't a secret this mind spirals in disarray It isn't a secret this mind shudders in mystery It isn't a secret I find terror in memory Come close. Don't be afraid, It's stranger than you think Desperately opiate, weary Feverish host to us, teary eyed History hexes us History hexes us Don't look. Don't think Don't feel. Don't move. Don't breathe Don't make a sound. It lives. It breathes In my conscious mind (Rosebud don't change) It isn't a secret this mind's shrouded in history It isn't a secret this mind spirals in disarray It isn't a secret this mind shudders in mystery It isn't a secret I find terror in memory I live and breathe again These gory locks, don't you dare forget them Don't you dare.
