This on made me cry. I love how that part of JCole’s verses, when he talks about letting rap goes (all that he knows but an artist has to grow) relates to JHope letting he’s first dream of being a street dancer and becoming something bigger. And when JCole tells about the strange hunger that grows every time he feeds it, made think about Arson and JHope’s doubts about putting out the fire or letting burn stronger. Beautiful song with dash of melancholy to twist that knife…

I think the kid at the beginning is J-Hope is consoling the boy he was and saying goodbye to that boy as well as he walks forward to pursue his dream. He is no longer that little boy anymore. It connects to the memorial in that way. The boy he was is no longer. The passion has taken over and he is walking forward on a one-way street to his future. It can also imply for ARMY, but I also see it as him as a boy as well. Where is BTS without layers or double, or triple meanings? Him walking the path he is walking now is to make the team stronger. They have said it so many times as they talked with us about doing their solo activities. So there is the promise to himself to see this through and not let his younger self down. He did it on his own until he met with BTS. The subway brings symbolism of that union with Danger. And then he comes up out of the subway and rises to the top next to J-Cole. That part about "us" stretches to everything; himself, the team, the future, those that support him behind the scenes, and ARMY. The path he walks pays homage to J-Cole's career as well. BTS makes me so proud.

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Classic JHope. i liked this. Great fit. Lots of memories. Made me nostalgic. Remembered debut Danger BTS MV. Saw call backs to old BTS MVs. So glad u noticed that pal. So far u the only one. =0p Been playing this song all day on Spotify. When i watched this I thought of my city NYC. But than i 2nd guessed myself and thought i was wrong. But a moot of mine msg me and she said The whole street area is around Chinatown and the train station J-hope was dancing in is at Delancey St and Bowery. And then he was riding those older trains that used to run b4. And he was walking out of the Bowery St station that had the J and Z trains on the sign b4 meeting up with J Cole near one of the NY bridges. Also I remember he had a couple of flights last year between Korea and NY/the US. Possibly the one after Palooza was when he did the mv filming with J Cole. So i was right. This made me so happy. =0} And u were right too. =0} Also, smart twt army showed parallels and connections between Jin's song. So cool. So sweet. The boy is army to me. Just like the girl in Jin's song was army. Hugs. -NY USA 2019 Army💟 - air said on 3/4/23 He was dancing underground while J. Cole was rapping on the roof, and in the end, JHope comes to meet J Cole at the top. This may represents J-Hope's journey from the bottom to the worldwide top, from the time when he danced to J. My take on J Cole's daughter line is also in a way targeted towards ARMY. When he said "time to find a different hobby" I thought that was clever wordplay from him and J Hope telling Army to find a different hobby that isn't always tied to BTS or J Hope(who we call Hobi) so we can truly experience life while the group is on hiatus. In that way, Army can maintain a healthy life and strong mental health as well until the group returns. I took the "let it grow" line as J Cole and Hobi letting Army know its ok to step away for a bit from Hobi's life so he can focus and grow during his time in enlistment. We can still show love and support but it doesn't need to be EVERY SINGLE DAY or so strongly protective just as a father is to their daughter. Both are telling us to step back for a bit, explore different hobbies and interests, and down the road we can come back together and enjoy the return of the group. It's not goodbye, it's see you later.

When an artist is featured they typically have some lines, that's it. In this case though, J-cole has a lot of lines, like half the song so it isn't really just featuring J-Cole because they both played an equal part in making this song, so it is both of their song', not just J-hope's.
