Yeah but eggs are almost the only animal sourced food that can totally be obtained without any suffering of the animal, so eggs from rescued hens that roam free all day and are well taken care of are vegan :)

Mechanical Heart well to get milk you need to impregnate a cow, then she has her baby but if it’s a male then it isn’t useful and so it’s most likely killed. Plus in the industry babies are separated almost immediately from their mom to steal the milk, meant for the baby , which results with them screaming for days afterwards... and when the cow doesn’t produce milk anymore the same cycle continues, until she is exhausted from all of that and sent to the slaughterhouse because she is « useless »

I'll admit I have a passion for bread making, and actually do make french bread at the bakery I work for. I love your enthusiasm, and I feel like some advice might help. For one, mixing the yeast with the alternative sugar water might not get the best result - active yeast is a pain in the ass. Try letting the yeast come to a foam in a small amount of not quite warm water (subtract that amount of liquid from the recipe). Also, where you let the bread rise has a distinct effect - I don't have a proofing oven at home so, for a lot of bread recipes, I stick the bread in a small, warm room and cover it with a cloth. If you don't have either of those, try preheating your oven to a low setting, turning it off then proofing your bread in there. Hit and miss with that, depends on the oven. Good luck, and sourdough is a b*tch!

Tip: Cut the bread into pieces, put some garlic butter (in your case: a lot) and/or mozzarella on it and put it in the oven (I don't know the heat, I guess 180 degrees Celsius) until it has melted!

Next time you should line the bread pan with either parchment or tin foil, it helps with sticking and easy clean up and it also helps when you wanna take the bread out of the pan

Happened to have my mom in the room when I was watching this one and she has Celiac Disease and *HATES* most of the brands she can find in store because we live in an area thats not well stocked with alternatives. I love this cause when I was little me and my grandma would always make bread together and then when she was 70 something she was diagnosed with Celiac's and we had to change up to gluten free bread and every time I was at her house she'd always give me some toast from her bread and cheese. I really felt like I was reliving some great times through this vlog so thanks Julien ❤️❤️
