Thank you for Harry Potter. It has taught me about courage, life and death, and the importance of unity. It was the most important story I was told in my childhood, and has profoundly guided and shaped my moral compass to this day. It also brought my family together as my mother read us your stories, and they sparked fires in our imaginations and turned into a burning desire to write stories of my own, and pay forwards what you had given to us. You are a true inspiration and one of the defining heroes our time. Thank you.

I can't believe the witch-hunt that's come from her stating basic biological and feminist facts. Just ten years ago she would have been hailed as a hero for what she said, now she's a villain. WTF? She's still a hero in my books! Thanks for Harry Potter, the series I've read ten times in my 25 years of life. Thank you for the Strike books, the series that's engrossed me this year (yes I've started it late lol) Love JK. Wish her the absolute best.

Ten years ago was the situation at Pantheacon. So...hailed as a heroine back then? Likely not. You'd have to go back to the 80s to get the widespread support for her backing of fact.

I have a career based on being excellent at reading and I truly believe I have Jo to thank for it. Thank you for doing what’s right, not what is easy, and embodying what you wrote about in Harry Potter. Thank you for protecting women so publicly and making it possible for women to feel they CAN state facts and what concerns them. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything.

Thank you so much for Harry Potter! It gave so much during my childhood. I grew up with the characters I laughed, cried, celebrated with them. The story made me fall in love with stories and books. I have learned English to read it in its original language. You ignited a passion in me to create something of my own, even though school took most of my time in the last 15 years, I picked up by old pencils a few years ago and learned to draw as an adult. Right now I am thinking about creating my own story short novel maybe comic. I have so much more to learn though, so little time.

Strike hints: Book 8 is in Jan 2017 (so no time hop between the end of book 7, assuming she’s in the middle of book 8)!!, she’s already written the last chapter of the book, Jonny Rokeby’s going to matter more in these last 3 books, and there’s 10 total. Side note that Robin is going to be a stand alone detective and not a Watson character forever. What I want to know is how much of herself does Rowling see in Robin? ❤️ loveeeee her, she’s too smart for life

And here is another fact: J.K Rowling was greatly inspired by the T.V series Bewitched. Bewitched helped her create the magical world of Harry Potter and many elements in the Harry Potter series originated in Bewitched: Witch and wizard to mortal(Muggle) marriage-and a witch who does not tell her mortal husband that she is a witch until after they are married Traveling magically by fireplace Traveling by magically disappearing from one location and re-appearing at another Half-bloods Wizard chess Moving photos A magical wizarding world hidden from mortals and with secret entrances Schools of witchcraft All these elements were originally in Bewitched and JK Rowling needs to admit to where the ideas came from!
