it does make me wonder if there is any interviews before this. This was winter 1997 and the first book came out 6 months before so its possible, but its more likely you'll find newspaper interviews as opposed to actual video interveiws with her. I think more pupils would have known about the book when they went back to school that september as opposed to the summer, so thats when the popularity will have taken off. Especially once it won the smarties award later tha year, which is why this interview was done with Blue Peter. Thats how it comes off to me anyway.

Absolutely! you can tell in the first 2 films that they wanted to replicate that look, until film 3 onwards they more or less decided to work on the strengths of what Emma Watson had.

I wanted to ask why is She called J K? Why didn’t She take initial from the other grandmother, and is that initial maybe is the same one? If she is not in good relationship with her father it was maybe premature to decide to take the name Kate and forget the other grandmother? Though no other consonant can outcompete that one. the vowels would be somewhat satisfactory in terms of sonority, but they would not be so good visually. 😊 I am joking, in fact I am not joking just trying to be funny .
