Brave new world starting with self-investigation. K is leading all to meditate into our past relations with parents, teachers, authority and society. Then see if we did help or helping our own offspring, students or society. Eventually how can we serve? When compassion is purely realized like this sage, which is inevitable since he saw the indivisible human nature, then humanity truly takes a giant step. Thanks for posting.

Great example of the power of conditioning. Coerced through a educational/cultural system that above all teaches deindividuation, docility and how to live for the other - coercion is no longer required on the other side. How can they think or feel for themselves after a lifetime of thinking and feeling for others and zero discussion of the former? You are not taught to think, only to serve, like a heteronomous robot.

I agree And as K says in many of his talks if one rejects this conditioning, says “wait a minute I see something of conflict” or bucks the system and actually advances their own intelligence thru questioning….. one is shunned. Kicked out. A migrant in search of a country lost.

How can one be so scared to open one ´s heart in front of such a human treasure! At their age, I not have this opportunity, nor go to a shrink, then had to do all that by myself, face life alone, in a new country. One day, sth blossomed. Then by chance, I discovered JK’s book on education. Only 30 years later did I realize that all what he was writing about described what I genuinely did, without knowing anything about spirituality. Face the facts, no longer be attached to anything, and abide by what is true, without knowing what’s ahead, however painful it may be. At 14, I was a stranger in my family. The only one understanding that religion was an escape and deciding to face life alone. This seemed the only thing to do, stop lying. I had loved religion since I was 7. But one day, it seemed fake and a lie. I gathered all my family to tell them that I would no longer join them for the daily prayers.

I wish I had been asked these questions. I wish parents had awareness of our formative years being psychological and spiritual formation not merely preparation for the path they took and held up as a role model for their children. Being a lost soul in a manipulative society is unfortunately the result.

Students could also have worked with K to learn about impatience, its nature & cause. That probably could have helped him to be patient.

JK always tried to shake one off his base - and then keep nudging the individual explore for himself. Most of the time, because of the conditionings, it doesn’t take place. When it does, it a total transformation of the individual.
