Greetings folks! I sincerely hope you’ve had a great week and thanks again for tuning in for yet another instalment in the Long Island adventure… Today it’s a steak so big it almost assures I won’t go for a number two until I reach home shore…still, it’s got to be done! I hope you enjoy it and as always I’d be tickled pink to see you again this Thursday for the next episode in this little trip! ’Til then, stay insatiable! :)

@BeardMeatsFood , I love how simple your videos are. It's not about the the large amounts of people gathering to see you take on the challenge. I like that there aren't any crowds around you. Thats what makes your videos stand out from many others. It's just you , you walk in and ask about the food challenge. You do it, with the camera in front. Very simple yet effective. And thats what I like about your page. Simplicity and it's not about having a mass of people.

If I remember correctly, England was a little less affected by the great depression than the United States. There's a lot of food culture here that stemmed from hunger and lasted almost a hundred years. That might be why older people in the two countries view your challenges differently. My grandmother, very poor growing up, would always say "eat for the hunger to come" and put more on your plate. She didn't want leftovers. She would go out before the dandelions bloomed and pick the leaves of dandelion to make a dish. My father adopted those mentalities too. I'm a little more lenient when it comes to eating everything in front of me, but I am still very conscious of how much I cook so I never have much excess.
@BooTeaCheeks2 жыл бұрын
@@danvincent2600 Thank you for enlightening me. What I had stated was something I was taught, but had never studied. It sounds just as appalling as the Depression Era in the United States has been described and I will gladly look into the reading you suggested. The older members of my family also eat quite the same things as they did when they were young. My father still goes out and picks dandelions for himself as my grandmother taught him, though he does as a treat. Simple fried potatoes with sliced up hot dogs are a staple when I visit home.

That's not a steak, that's a freakin' brisket!

If that had been a brisket it would have been easier to eat!
@Just_Pele2 жыл бұрын
@@philbrownsey-hughes2793 Not if it was pink in the middle it wouldn't, what makes brisket tender is it being cooked/smoked for 8-12 hours.

If it was briskit it would be soft and he wouldn't have to chew it like stake

@@Just_Pele but who serves brisket pink?
@Just_Pele2 жыл бұрын
@@Chevalier_knight Brisket is only soft because it's cooked for so long, for many many hours. If it was cooked medium-rare, like in the video, it would be very hard to chew.

That’s so crazy, I didn’t know your channel when you were here, but that’s right across from my job’s headquarters. I haven’t eaten there since I was a kid! I wish I could find more food challenges out this way!

I attempted this particular steak challenge a number of years ago. The meat was so tough that it made my teeth hurt. I ended up leaving more than half the steak. Had to stop because my teeth and jaw hurt so much.

Now, this is a challenge I would love to try. When I eat steak I never seem to reach a point where I feel like I need to stop LOL. Went to a get-together at a friend's house he was cooking steaks for a bunch of friends and employees and no one showed..... He had made like 25 steaks. Nice big Porter houses I ate 10 of them LOL. Great video!!!!

Always amazing to watch you smash another challenge but wanted to ask, when you complete a challenge and the meal is free, do you get charged for the dessert ?
@fiendbarbaric71552 жыл бұрын
I think he said in one of the videos that he orders deserts not only for sweet, but because he feels bad for the owners to lose their money on his challenge. So it''s like at least he pays for a desert
@Just1Me92352 жыл бұрын
@@fiendbarbaric7155 He always offers to pay for the meal even though the rules say he gets it free. Sometimes restaurant owners will still decline his offer though.
