Allein der Schlusschoral zeigt, mit welcher inneren Glut Richter bei Bach alle Niederungen menschlichen Seins hinter sich ließ. Das ist absolut singulär, das höre ich bei keinem anderen Interpreten.

The performance (of Aria 1) posted by Bachstiftung transforms this music, mainly by their choice of a more confident, less lugubrious tempo (along with period instruments etc.). But the Richter performance is at least a valuable period piece in its own way.

Yes, Bachstiftung is almost without fail, superb. And their rendition of the first aria being no exception. I only wish the recording was of the complete cantata. I would love to hear Peter Scvhreier sing with this ensamble.

Un Bach alejadìsimo de los criterios de interpretación actuales, pero bello sin lugar a dudas...Bach es indestructible y siempre suena bien, ya sea interpretado por Richter, Harnoncourt, Gardiner o Rifkin. Personalmente prefiero las versiones historicistas ovopipistas (instrumentos de época y coros y corales a una voz por parte OVPP), pero Bach, sencillamente, siempre me llega al alma.
