J.S. Bach - Prelude in C Major book 2 - Michelsonne piano - Simon Hanot

This is a very rare Michelsonne piano, 4 octaves wide (49 keys). This instrument was made in the late sixties in Paris before the factory was destroyed by a fire.

What a lovely sound it makes! A friend has had one given to him but he can only open the keyboard about an inch and is worried about forcing it. Does it have a release catch somewhere?
