Bushings must be placed where the additional space is created so the shock and spring cannot move side to side, you can buy the appropriate bushings pretty much at any auto supply store. You should also place washers on the shock bolt and nuts on the outside of the frame. Also it is imperative to make sure the wiring harness will not contact the shock, it will eventually wear through and be a nightmare to repair. Also make sure the bolts securing the fender are not too long so they hit the tire when the bike is under full rear suspension compression, otherwise you risk ruining your rear tire. This is a time saver and money saver as buying a block requires more work and spring removal, but taking short cuts will cost you in the long run.

Eric Toth I'm glad it helped. That was my reason for making the video just because there were no videos to reference.

Eric Toth I was to but I figured if it didn't work I could always put it back to stock bolt placement

that's true.... did you need to jack the bike up or anything?

Eric Toth yes so that I could drop the swing arm down to remove the strut Bolt

Good way to weaken and add more stress to youre frame , hence the stud on the bolt hole to add re enforcement to youre frame

I'm just thinking about that. Do you feel some kind of difference in riding? What about passenger, still you can ride two person or fender is too low for that? Thanks
@wsthornton18 жыл бұрын
carl220582 I ride solo so I couldn't say for sure but there is still plenty of clearance under the rear fender for my self (200#s) and I ride with my unistrut on 1. maybe if you tight the strut you could ride with a passenger.
