He is a human roller coaster... consistency is needed to win big games.. The Oiler defense is also pretty mediocre.. the team's fortunes are almost entirely dependent on how effective McDavid and Drisatil are.. not a recipe for winning championships
@algrundau9441

True....to a point. Then again, some of his "miraculous saves" are a result of him being down early and deep in his net. Sorry, I like his battle level and puck handling, but he plays deep and has to make "big saves" when another goalie has the angle cut and is not flailing aroundf. The undying loyalty to him while they do not even give 26---12---4 Mikko one start?....They would rather start a 40 year old for his 15th straight start? Also Bouchard was hooked on that play but should have done better to defend.

@@joshwall4263 Sure, but starting a 40 year old 15 straight times tin the playoffs after missing much of the year while Koskinen has played well, is fresh, gives the shooters a different target. i do not get the undying loyalty no matter what to Smith. Not even one start for a goalie that was 26--12--4..a goalie that was 12--2 to start the year? Terrible, and now its costing them.

What do u want from mcdavid/draitl. They have tried. Smithy was not bad but ur defence are so poor, nurse, Bouchard n coming back, they are not as fast. Oilers won’t be able to win 4 games. Nurse and Bouchard made so many mistakes and their hockey iq poor as well. Oilers made huge mistake signing Nurse to so many years.

@@_4dak826 First thanks to the Canadiens for Lehky...Now with an suspension for Kane coming and Draisaitl is hurt. No way the Oilers will win the series.

@@KCM316 Go to the exact 10--13 second mark. ...."Outmuscled???"...With a stick around his waist, impeding him from getting to the puck.Tell me where you play hockey. That is not hooking? ....No, its "outmuscling" just like Game 1 offside was "Makar was pushing the puck with his stick,while skating directly behind it, but he didn't have possession."...lolo...haha...This series has been an absolute reffing Circus.

I'm not a fan of either one of these teams but from a neutral stand point, I honestly saw a lot of ref favoritism for the Oilers during these playoffs. Almost every game I watched, anyone who so much as touched McDavid or Draisaitl was given a penalty....especially if the Oilers were down in the game.
