The phrasing is weird because it leaves ambiguity and it could be interpreted that its impossible to touch grass in sunshine until you have beaten Super Mario Bros. any% and that optimal movement does not solve this issue. The problem being the use of the word 'before' which in the way the sentence was constructed would be referring to the act of touching grass before the event of having beaten Super Mario Bros. any% As opposed to the intended communication of touching grass in less time than it takes to beat Super Mario Bros.

for super mario land, there is a deluxe version for the game boy color, and you could tell which one was grass edit: its not called dx but on gb color or gbc, it will play on color

Super Mario bros deluxe is not the same game as super Mario land at all. Mario deluxe is a remake of Mario 1 for the gameboy color, Mario LAND never got a coloured version officially. I still recommend Mario bros deluxe tho. That was a great remake

I remember one Christmas morning getting a gamecube and Sunshine but NO MEMORY CARD. My mom told me I would have to wait a couple days before we could go buy one, so needless to say I went through that opening sequence like 20 freaking times since I had to restart the game each time lmao. But another thing I used to love doing in Sunshine (random) was trying to find the highest possible point I could high dive off of into some water, like on top of the windmill in Bianco Hills and on top of the ferris wheel platform in Pinna Park. As an adult I've seen glitches where you can launch into the stratosphere; if I still had the game I would totally try it and do the ultimate dive and cannonball lol
