The name Dean and Sam were not coincidental. Dean was named after Deanna and Sam was named after Sameul. Deanna and Sameul Campbell-- Mary's mother and father

Sadly, Jensen was wrong about why Glenn was killed on TWD.. He wasnt killed to cause tension.. He died in the Comic that way and the actor didnt want someone else to take his place in that scene, so they chose to keep it true to the comic instead of killing off someone else.

that would be a good way to end the series, bring back the dad and the mum then have a few eps of them catching up and fighting the current big bad, then the show ends with them going out to hunt as a true family and they're all finally happy.

Like bigconan said, they never met Adam, they met a demon, the real Adam didn't recognize John as his father since he only met him once, what "Adam" (the demon) tells Dean about what John did on his birthday are lies, says it to anger Dean with jealousy... Adam is the last resource for the angels, John didn't know about him until he met him at a hunting trip (I think was with Dean because in the book John always talks about hunting with Dean, never ever mention Adam in his personal diary), this was after Sam went to Stanford, the speculation is that the angels plotted Adam (do all the things to create him) in case of Dean fail (one of the plots the series didn't explore), John meets Adam once as said in the series but they never meet again.
