Yes, brings back so many memories. Breaking icicles off the lifelines before heading out. Forgetting to put a padlock on the cockpit seat lid (long story). Unhooking two boats stuck together at the tops of the masts. Lots of good times.

Nel lato in poppa sono velocissimi e bravi. Credo che di bolina ci sarebbe bisogno di una regolazione della randa più dinamica. Specialmente sulla drizza e sulla base che non vengono tesate a dovere.

I noticed that most of the J24s sail without a downhaul on the spin pole. Is there a reason for that?
@SailDallasRacing5 ай бұрын
We have actually started using them on our boat it’s better to have one.
@DanBlake3rd3 ай бұрын
The J/22s at our club don't use them either. Doesn't seem to be a problem.

I don't race J/24. Yet. Helm seemed very neutral. How would you have tuned it differently?
@SailDallasRacing8 ай бұрын
We had neutral helm. On the j24s we can adjust our mast step and we decide it was in the wrong position for that wind.

Only thing I may have done would be add some Cunningham. I didn’t like the shape of the main

Hi. May I suggest since there is a lot of J24, to spend a day with another J 24 on the water testing the trim of the boats, maybe change boat, is it the crew or the boat? From my experience sailing H-boat, the main have to do main job, meaning trim must be perfect, instead of releasing the sheet of the main, use instead the traveler to adjust for the gust and since the wind is + 10 knots, the back stay must be used to open up the main , so the pressure on the rudder is acceptable even with a very strong load on the main. When the sheet of the main is released so ‘violent’ , the main sail loose the power for a long time, until the good flow on both sides of the sail is established again. I am not talking about the period of sailing before the start, but when the boat has to tack. From a cold Scandinavia, water temperature around 40 F and air temperature also around 40F, so I envy you sailing in t-shirt all year Henrik ,
