Jesse man! It's the matrix bro! Empty the coolant then add water and put Holt's coolant flush to the water, let the car run for 10mins and switch off, let it cool down about an hour! Empty the coolant, replace heater matrix, add fresh coolant back, let car run to temp but keep squeezing the coolant pipes at the back every so often and it should work! I had it on my Corsa, thank me later😂😂😂

Don't take the matrix out mate!. My son's got a Corsa C Design with SXI upgrades from a donor car. Had same issue with no heat. Solution that worked for me was remove hoses that go into the firewall get a suitable bit of pipe and a hose add some rad cleaner and flush it back and forth a load of times, eventually the crap comes out and voila heat. Have some patience and do the easiest bits first. Love the vids. Reliving my youth through my son's car and enjoying your vids as I've got some of the same experiences. Good luck.

Redtop was common swap for a Corsa b not Corsa c the common swap for these is a z20let gsi/z20leh vxr

Easiest way to check/clear the matrix is take the pipes of both side and stick a hose pipe through, clears whatever is inside out so you’ll know if blocked or not. A lot of comments saying water pump however if engine isn’t overheating I wouldn’t say no. Are you getting water return to the expansion tank?

Hi Jesse from Scotland There should be a bleeder nip at the right hand side of the radiator either top or side They need also a genuine Gm thermostat as aftermarket don't work Cheers

1 ..Force bleed it with the hose in the expantion keep revs onn keep it flowing 2... check the change over cable on the side of the blower box. 3... that new stat may have a to high opening temp

Next to the sensor you changed there is a small rubber hose that goes onto the water pump. (Sticks up vertically) take that pipe off. Fill coolant to the brim and rev up to 2000rmp. Wait until you get hot water coming out of the top of the water pump that the pipe fits On to. This will bleed the system.

You might want to try the heater diial it is cable operated make sure it's doing what it should be doing and hasn't come off it might be stuck on cold and not going to switching to hot worth a look

Did one other day fill coolant up nearly to the top take it for a drive with the coolant cap not fully tight and it will let all the air out

Stick at it Jesse mate I’m sure you will get there. I’ve got to look at mine as it only blows on the wind and doesn’t blow anywhere else when you spin the dial so think it’s a fault switch

Mate it's airlock I have a corsa c and ill guarantee It. I bet it took less coolant to refill it than came out. Top up the expansion tank and blow hard into the tank making sure u are making a seal with your mouth start the car keeping an eye on The level take it for a drive check then top up if needed I have done this several times and always works. Definitely airlock

As a mechanic i’d say the waterpump is your issue, looking at those hoses they’re full of smudge because the water is not being pumped through the engine and hoses

I had the opposite problem with my corsa, and it was just a switch wire. You should definitely check it, it could be as simple as that, mate.

Either it's the water pump mate or you haven't bled it properly you need to keep the coolant topped or it won't work also idle the car for abit keep topping it up then once it stops going down take it for a drive get fans to come in the turn it off leave the car till it is fully cold again you should find that it will have dropped the coolant level top and see how you get on.

You need the header tank full to the brim when bleeding these fill it to the top let it go down and keep filling it up once it’s warm and the heaters hot squeeze the pipes to push a little water out the header tank the pipes are dry because there’s not enough water in the system over flow that header tank until the airs coming out hot 17.47 that tanks dry mate over flow it when bleeding these I’ve done loads if you want a had give me a shout il come and have a go at it

I’d say water pump should see coolant pumping back into expansion bottle with lid off take small pipe off the top of the water pump run it and it should pump out without squeezing the pipes

Easy way to flush a heater matrix is just disconnect both hoses from the engine and hold a hose in one side and rinse it through

a next car u could do is mk6 fiesta 1.4 TDCI since u could change the turbo and put an st body kit and interior etc..

Check the heater dial is actually operating the flap to switch it from hot to cold not sure if it’s cable driven or if it has a fan resistor there about a tenner that sludge looks like old rad weld buddy I would back flush the full system a few times buddy

To me that’s more the water pump / head gasket looking at the the shit in the the tank mine looked the same when my started to go if you leave the cap off the tank get it up to temperature and rev up to 2/3k and it boils over you know it’s the head they are common for it

You did the right thing clearing the matrix but you didn't clear the pipes going into and out of the matrix I did this on meriva vxr worked and heat was back in the system just need to get AC fixed now

There's normally a gate beside the matrix which switches between cold and hot air. That may be the issue. The blue and red turner knob moves it.

Does that car not have a bleed valve? When I was changing my coolant in my 2008 corsa I had to undo that and squeeze the pipes until coolant was leaking out the bleed valve so there was no air in the system

When bleeding any car u need to keep the water bottle filled right to the top as it will drag ain't in u need fill the bottle right to the top then keep pumping the pipes by hand until it starts pissing water and bubbles out the water tank

I had issue with a vectra sri what I did was keep a rev at 2000 or 3000rpm for a few mins to bleed the coolant it fixed the issue

It’s your water pump that’s your problem it’s not pumping out the water thermostat it’s not circulating through the heater matrix that’s why you got no hot air I’ll give it a full engine flush clear all the blockages out and it’ll be back up and running again

Have you checked if your footwells are dry? Common issue on these cars for the brake booster seal to leak so when it rains it’s like a swimming pool in the drivers foot well 😂😂

Correct me if I'm wrong, being an engineer in compressed air not cars... but isn't that water supposed to circulate? and judging by all that corrosion, that doesn't look a good sign at all. So I'm taking a wild guess the water pumps had it's day. Makes sense why your not getting hot water through the heater feed hose.
