Looking good mate, very impressive for your first attempt. As someone who’s wrapped a few cars I know a few little tips, one of the most important things to do is ensure those corners of the wing, inner arch, door jams are all just as clean as the clay barred areas as this is where it starts to peel first. Especially if water gets underneath the wrap, always use a clean rag to ensure the area is dry too. A tip that’s just important is to ensure you heat all corners, edges and body lines to 90 degrees to ensure the the wrap loses it memory and doesn’t start to bubble back up as these are the areas that after a few days start to pull away. Unfortunately if this happens it won’t stick back down again and will need to be redone. With those corners, it’s difficult to do on your own but if you can heat the wrap while pulling it away from the corner it wraps around it nicely, be sure to heat the crap out of it so it doesn’t pull back 😂 It’s also good to use your wrap sparingly as you don’t know how many attempts the bumpers will take you (these are the hardest to wrap). You could have got two wings out of that first piece but I understand it’s your first try and you’ve done really well! Great content mate and looking forward to seeing it finished.

Jesse, hats of to you for even attempting this, am sure it's going to look awesome. How about just tint spray the indicators, rear lights etc with the spray the more you put on the darker the tint, I did my fog lights at the front and rear lights on my ibiza and it looks great. I did 3 Coates to each light.

I think if you do all the trims and stuff that satin/gloss black and get black indicators would look nice matching and help the green/yellow stand out

On the corners pull the very coner of the cut wrap and stretch it down vertically until it forms over👌🏼

Jesse take the black plastic trims off and try using a heat gun to bring them back to some what factory standard. Just dont apply too much heat and melt them

So glad you went through with doing the car wrap, respect. Been thinking of doing mine, slide a little decal underneath for a embossed effect seen it done on a mk6 fiesta st rear spoiler, looked nice 👌

Not sure if you’ve already started the doors but those strips down the side are literally stuck on, no bolts and will make it look a million times smoother if you take them off. And probably make it easier for you to wrap. Use your heat gun on them and they do peel off but make sure you really heat them up. You might find the paint is a little discoloured under neath but it will polish out and if you are wrapping it’s all good. Mega job mate

If you haven’t already, I’d stop wrapping it and get it indoors mate, it’s too cold outside to be handling and stretching the vinyl. The temperature of it is going to fluctuate massively when your using the heat gun. If your in a warmer environment it’ll also be easier for yourself to apply it. That wing looked like it went on alright but I bet it took a while. Just some advice mate, otherwise it’s going to be a waste of money when the edges start lifting and peeling back 👍

Lil tip buddy, maybe more catchy titles on these, you got a lot of views on the halfords video as the title would draw people in - add more info regarding what you're doing - an amateur mechanic having a crack at doing a car up, on the cheap with no experience.
