Why? What does it do? I understand using them for conibears. But I dont see the use on leghold traps.

It allows you to a) stabilize your trap at any height using a fiberglass rod (top edge sets, hut sets, baited sets, etc. etc.) b) stabilize your trap on any object by wiring it, screwing it, etc to said object c) stake via the stake swivel hole d) drowner setup with the built in drowner lock... j3o.com/hagz-bracket-1

GrandpaD, #2 straight or twist (in the video is twist) American chain.

#2looped chain seems light. What you have in your hand sounds and looks like 3/16 chain

@leonardsherwood7859 why is it light? Weight wise or are you trying to say something that's designed for muskrat sized animals needs bigger than 3/16" chain?
