Using someone's age as an excuse for reckless, dangerous behavior is such a cop out. And it makes it harder for young people to be taken seriously. At 23 I was married and had my oldest. Not saying that's what everyone should do. But for me stories and excuses like this made people not want to legitimize my marriage and they saw my daughter as someone who was probably grow up in a broken home. The idea that someone's age somehow limits their ability to grow and mature when their environment calls for it is ludicrous.
