According to a report from The Athletic, members of the Indiana Pacers traveling party were aggressively confronted by acquaintances of Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant following their game on January 29th. Two members of the Pacers party said a red laser was shined on them and they believed it was attached to a gun. The NBA conducted an investigation and confirmed there was some form of a confrontation but no evidence of a weapon being used was found. One of Ja Morant’s friends was banned from the Grizzlies arena after the league-led probe. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react.

The sad thing is many of these young men have more than company in their life. They have family and loved ones that continue to spend their wealth. But many times fall to only say what they want to hear for there existing on their profits.. and there's also a margin of those that cannot change the course of someone so young with so much wealth. 🤔

The wealthy hangout with the wealthy and the poor hangout with the poor. You become a product of who and what you surround yourself with and who. Just saying....if you're poor/broke and you hangout with all others who are the same, the odds of getting out of that financial situation is very low. When the poor/broke start to hangout/study the wealthy, the odds of making more money and being better with money, is higher if you weren't doing that.

Guys like Kobe, Curry and Bron really are on a whole other level not just on the court but off. “Shannon having the guts”??; it’s a no brainer, it’s common sense. No “guts”are needed when stating the facts, when speaking common sense stuff. Moran is what he is, the question is, is he willing to make the change and become someone else ??/. Unfortunately, there is a big segment of the community and the culture that “glorifies” the behavior, that actually believes that you are not black if you do not behave certain way. That’s the issue people need to have the “guts” to discuss, that’s the conversation we need to have, because I bet you lots people will criticize Ja if he “leaves his friends and community behind”. @@keithgupton9349 Having a great day so far, and again, we need to have common sense without making it some “dramatic event that requires guts”. @@franciscoarroyo9402 My brother, you keep stating the obvious. Of course we should always be honest with our youth especially black and brown males who often come from marginalized communities. But in Ja Morant's case. His posse or hangers on will only tell him what he wants to hear rather than what he needs to know because they want to keep on riding the gravy train just as long as its still first class. Ja Morant's father should be the person to do exactly what Shannon Sharpe said. Get in his son's ear and get rid of all the free loaders who could potentially detail the gravy train or worse get Ja killed. Once again. Common sense isn't so common. I mean that’s true. But all tough guy stuff is really silly until somebody is bulletproof. And if you the toughest guy on the yard you still can catch a shank or an ambush and even if you win in prison you are the king of a wasteland. This is where our culture has to be a little more honest about the negatives we coddle. Shannon is the only person goin in on Ja like this and I remember when he was takin heat for doin the same with AB. 🌝

Unfortunately, he's in the club like so many others..there are other dirty things going on in other avenues other than the streets..He has the tattoo's to prove it and also that case against him, although he may have gotten off or may not have done what he was accused of. There's evil everywhere. When I used to watch basketball, I was honestly blown away at how fast and good D Rose was before all his injuries..that blatant all seeing eye and pyramid tattoo says more though than most think.

The athlete's begin to believe that they are invincible. Mortalitly, physically, and criminally. Having come from the neighborhood and hanging with a gang I understand the ties and the bonds that are formed. But there came a time that I realized that enough was enough. Their ways were no longer my ways. Just not worth the risk. Especially when two frames of minds come into the picture. Best for Ja to stick to basketball and separate himself from the thugs.
