They were a great team but I would say united didn't achieve what they should have in Europe I thought the likes of Milan and Madrid reigned supreme during that time. Although juventus lost a lot of finals they were still in so many finals back then

@@jericho9653 They definitely should have challenged for it more. I think personally getting rid of Stam and replacing Schmeichel when Bartez hindered them.

@@robertpirsig5011 yes well to be fair I think keane was one of if not the best player in the world at his pomp late 90s to around 2003, definitely an argument to put him in the conversation as the best, okay he wasn't the type of player that was going to solo past 4 players but neither was maldini or Lothar mathius and those players like keane won it all. Keane was the main reason united got so many late goals and definitely the main reason united won all those thropies.

@@jericho9653 Don't worrie I'm not one of those dummies that thought Keane was just a tough guy. Idiots under appreciate his technical ability. His passing was so under rated and his awareness of closing of the space in midfield made it difficult for the opposition to hold the ball. But if you need a concrete example of how important keane was to united, all you have to do is look at the period of 97/98 season. United won the league the previous year. Keane picked up an injury and was out of the 97/98 season and they won nothing. The year after they won the treble. His absence was a big reason why they didn't win anything.
