@@danielbrown5328 on the Kinjaz podcast with Quest Crew. They said that the Jabbas are EXPENSIVE that's why they're not on America's Best Dance Crew Season 8. So most likely the Jabbas are only paid by NBC for 2 appearances.

@@vc7415 Idk personally I feel that it had nothing to do with money. I think Jabba fans use that as an excuse. The Jabbawockeez wouldn't just risk their reputation like that by purposely not doing very good in a competition. Plus, several of them posted slight disappointment about the outcome of the duel on their social media after it aired saying stuff implying like "the fan's attitudes says it all." A lot of people/crews got paid to be on the show but I don't believe that means they didn't try. And the Jabbas used the same choreography here for one of their big performances so it's not like they purposely used downgraded choreo to ensure a loss.

Like look at who they lost to, it wasn’t even close but the ratings showed otherwise. The people they lost to did a pretty mid piece with no type of hype to it and bad musicality for duel.
