Thank you. This really helped me make my decision between the two. I got the Jabra enhance 200.

Hi Rick, I ordered the Jabra enhance 200 yesterday with the multi-mike and am hoping they work well. What has your experience been like so far and may I ask what smartphone are you using? I have a Samsung Note 20 Ultra running Android 13. Many Thanks in advance...

P.S. I see from your KZbin profile you are a drummer. Have you seen the movie, "Sound of Metal directed by Darius Marder"? I've watched it several times and encouraged those close to me to watch it because I find the perceived hearing understanding from the actor's perspective to be pretty accurate, helping those that can hear well understand what I can't hear-understand.

Thanks for the explanations Dave. The comment about women and children voices being a high frequency was important. I understand that the Lively 2 Pro became the Enhanced Select 200.👍

I have the Jabra Enhance Pro hearing aids and love them. However you mentioned a feature I am unaware of how it works. What exactly is the Environment sounds adjustment you mentioned. I can’t find a setting on my adjustable app to control the hearing aids. Please elaborate more about this feature. Thank you.
@hearingaids-Dave Жыл бұрын
Hi Paul. The environmental optimizer permanently scans the sound environment to analyze in which places the wearer is in. According to that and to the loudness it adjusted the amplification of the hearing aids accordingly. That has the advantage that the wearer won’t need to adjust the hearing aids manually in changing sound environments. This feature works automatically and you can adjust it on your app. 👍

Thanks for the video, Dave. Do you happen to know if these Jabra devices are able to be programmed after the 3-years of support ends (normally they remotely adjust them for the customer via telehealth)? Would a local audiologist be able to upload a new prescription? I assume the programming is more precise than the simple 3-zone frequency adjustment in-app. Thanks! Edit: Another question if you have time: the Jabra website lists the following under "specs" for both the Enhance Select 100 & 200 models: "Sound is fuller with 9.5kHz frequency streaming" Do you think this is a typo, since in your video you mention the Select 100 is only 8.5 kHz? Or perhaps they updated the Select 100 after taking over Lively?

Hi Dmitriy and thank you for your comment! Right now these devices can not get programmed at a local hearing professional as they are using a special software for programming. Not sure if they will open their hearing aids for programming. I believe that they will offer to keep programming the hearing aids for you after the three years and this service will cost some busk - but that's only my speculation. Thank you for the edit. Might be that 9.5 KHz is only true for streaming, or the devices got a firmware upgrade. However, thank you for the info! Best, Dave

I have a question about the plus that I am struggling to get a plain answer to (please don’t think me thick)… “Bluetooth capabilities” for both include streaming ie listening to music? I HATE not having Bluetooth as a feature of my hearing aids and apart from the element of comfort ability, this is one of the most important features (as I have only mild hearing loss). It would be so cool to hear back from you… vielen Dank!

Austin, thank you for the great question! The Jabra Enhance 200 and 100 have Bluetooth for direct streaming to Apple devices, for other smartphones you'll need an accesory. Streaming means listening to music and getting phone calls directly from your phone into the hearing aids, so this feature should deliver the benefits you are looking for. The same is true for the Jabra Enhance Plus (the small earbuds). Hope that helps! Best, Dave

@@hearingaids-Dave Dave, it is my understanding that these units are Android capable depending on the age of the phone.

@@paulhousman7156 true, I just checked Jabra‘s website. It works with iPhones and newer Android phones. They have a list of compatible devices here: www.jabraenhance.com/product/enhanceselect200?bk=1

Thanks for the video. I am currently test driving the Enhance 200. My Jabra audiologist told me it has 8 channels. I can't seem to find anything on the web about the number of channels, not even on Jabra's "advanced specs". Can you verify whether it has 8 or 12 channels?
@hearingaids-Dave Жыл бұрын
Hi EHoser1. Thank you for the great question. Unfortunately Jabra does not offer programming software for audiologists (yet), so I’m not able to verify the number of channels. Sorry for that. Best, Dave
