Thanks for the review, interesting comparison. The Evolve 80 sounded better as it had a more reliable connection. As a Bluetooth headset i thought the evolve2 85 sounded good and was probably more comfortable to wear on the ears. So many factors involved!

I want to decide between airpod pro and Jabra Evolve 80, If i am planning to buy just one. Mostly for summers these over-ear headsets are uncomfortable..

Are you needing a headset for mainly your computer or cell phone?

@@HeadsetAdvisor Mostly for work. I have to attend approx 1 - 2 hrs of meeting every day. Some workshops might last even for the entire day. I have an on-ear B&O H8, it is good for music and also doable for calls but its uncomfortable for long use. An over ear headphone might be more convenient with better ANC but I am not sure if it will be more comfortable to use than airpod pro. In rare cases I do have to deal with noisy environment, here jabra will be good. For all other usecase including personal use and hot summers and portability. Airpod pro might be good. I need your opinion in this. If jabra is comfortable to wear for the entire day, i can invest in it. Most of the time when I am at home, I just use my MacBook Pro's mic. I find it much better than high end headphones' mic.

@@InsEngineered I can tell you for certain either of these headsets won’t be comfortable to be worn all day. They are comfy, but wearing them for 6-8 hours at a time may be uncomfortable. Thanks for the review. The Evolve 80 definitely sounds better. I note from the manual for the Evolve2 85, that if you plug in the 3.5mm jack, the Bluetooth and boom mic are automatically disabled. However, I've since discovered from the Jabra website that from firmware version 1.2.13 or later, the usb charge cable can be used for audio. Do you know / is it possible to test if there is any improvement in mic quality when the USB cable is used? (assuming it can handle 2 way audio. The FAQ on the website is unclear)

The wired is better, but the "phantom" microphone of the wireless is really cool! You can use this headset on a train without looking stupid :-) The wired mic really better though.
