I'm from Bhopal...my dad still tells the stories of how people were trying to run away and people dying in their sleep not knowing they are inhaling the gas...the gas was heavy and people sleeping on the ground or in the ground floor died the most. My dad's friend suffered severe skin infection while trying to escape. Those stories still haunts us.

Same my mother was quite young, living in Bhopal during the tragedy, yet thankfully everyone got out of the city safely. But my mom told me how they had to split up and try to get away as fast as possible..

The guy was american who did this . Indian gov at that time was forced by american gov to release him. He was sent back to Us in pvt plane without any consequences. He was responsible for so many deaths. I am from bhopal and both of my grandparents died in this tragedy Rajkumar keswani from Dainik bhaskar when dainik bhaskar (newspaper) just started has covered this whole thing which no other media at that time has covered. The way he covered one of the best coverage India have ever seen but no one will know much about this only local people. Sadly the journalist also died recently. He was legend he saved in my area many lives too helped lots of people. My whole family left Bhopal after this .

Just binged this series, absolutely brilliant. As a safety and incident management professional for the railways here in Australia, I can tell they consulted closely with train cotrollers and train maintenance professionals for this. Everything rings true. This disaster is used to train safety incident investigators world wide still today.

Jabby's argument about White Guy potrail is true in general but not in this particular case. In this case he was factory owner, and he already knew there was a safety issue which could lead do disaster but he kept quite and didn't do anything to fix that in order to save money. He later fled the country without any legal consequences. (Yeah, other people like our politician is also to be blamed, because they let him escape, and didn't ensured safety )

there is still the court case going on between union carbide and the govt, the govt fought for the justice of affected people in bhopal, the govt at that time said that the company union carbide didn't have proper safety measures, didn't train their workers well either.

Honestly this was our Chernobyl. I remember during the second wave ofCovid supreme court compared the numbers of bhopal with bhopal gas tragedy and the second wave was much worse than that.

I was quite young almost 40yrs since 1984 but I still remember the evening when we heard the news over the phone line and the TV and News papers later.....as for the white guy - well the gas leaked from the Union Carbide plant and its CEO (white guy) was in India but the govt let him fly away (as usual then) and thousands of people / families were left to die - slowly...... US based Union Carbide Corporation (later taken over by -The Dow Chemical Company).

Heyy Jaby the white guy u see in trailer was a American Businessman named warren Anderson and his was owner of union carbine chemical factory. That guy was single handly responsible for death of 5000 people and 100000 suffered from life long ailments. One of my neighbors was victim of bhopal gas tragedy and she lost her one kidney . Anderson dispite knowing that chemical is toxic and can kill ppl he refused to inform authorities . Nd iam in rage when im typing this , he was given a free pass by government of india especially congress party and ronald regan was the guy who protected Anderson persuaded rajiv gandhi then prime Minister to allow him to escape india .

Methaly Isocyanide was the gas that leaked from Union Carbine Chemical factory. Warren Anderson owner of this factory managed to flee India he died peacefully of old age, instead of being prosecuted. Many died and many were severely affected. This chemical factory was built right in the heart of the city. After this incident India always ensured Industries always remained outside of the city limits.

Jaby it's very one time it's about my city... Am born and grown here .. in new city.. But, that place the area around junction bhopal station, is still a scary and haunted place, but still PPL live with it... Bcz we have to... Fun fact... The messy thing, the danger product is still there and the capital of heart of India is living with it. Bhopal is beautiful angel having poison in heart .. All great done by American company..😈
