Just making a film on a sensible topic doesn't make the film good, by that logic would u say Tejas, Vaccine War, Tubelight etc r good films as they too deal with good themes ?? there is something called film making, and that's bad here not the topic they chose. Writing was lazy, logicless, acting was bad, screenplay was so jarring, pathetic on every level. And I loved Munnabhai series, Sanju, 3 idiots. Hirani is past his prime, u will never see a hit film from him again, mark my words

​@@JabyKoay321I commended the topic, I didn't say it was the only plus point. And as I said, likes are subjective, don't force your opinions as "objective". I thought the story & screenplay conveyed authentic concerns & situations of many lower income people. The various scams they have to face, the dangers of Dunki travel, the discrimination as against the rich, the humiliation & ordeals they face abroad all were well captured. I loved the acting by everyone too... what you call overacting is because Raju Hirani in all his films tries to bring humour & lightness to sad situations, instead of just playing it straight as sad & tragic (which would be easier for actors). The songs & lyrics were absolutely beautiful. The court scene & the ending half hour were all beautifully emotive too, in addition to Vicky's tragic arc. First half was light & enjoyable, with many people in my theatre chuckling at several scenes. So I stand by my view that it's a beautiful film.

Like it’s ironic that DDLJ film came out in 1995, and Dunki movie is set in 1995 (before the present day) and SRK just went through an uno reverse scene with both trains 🤣😅
