And the worst of the lot in terms of real diversity and tolerance. Also off-limits for us "mainlanders" despite all these PR efforts by the state government. Most of the non-Naga shown in the video are concentrated at the Assam border in Dimapur. The rest of the state is practically a no-go zone unless you're in border security. Its the most risky region under the inner-line permit raj in the NE. The place has been turned into an intensely anti-Indian Christian ethnostate.
@sachinbhardwaj55104 жыл бұрын
@@thedescanteer I agree with you that state has committed crime be it AFSPA or any other draconian law . Also main stream media failed to cover the region wholesome. I am also aware of tribal conflicts and demand for autonomy . But now it's on millennials how they want to go forward. We have to embrace the humanity and culture of acceptance but the irony is mainland india is becoming intolerant.
@thedescanteer4 жыл бұрын
@@sachinbhardwaj5510 I don't know what tangent you're on. None of that has anything to do with what I said. Nagaland is as good as a separate Christian ethnostate. They're equally intolerant of other NE communities, especially the less Christianized ones, as they are of "Indians". This has got nothing to do with AFSPA or media coverage etc. Nagas are the most insular of all NE tribal populations, its as simple as that. Manipur protests the loudest against so-called draconian laws, yet it is a much safer place to travel, and themselves at the recieving end of Naga intolerance.

Jaby, at 4:11, I noticed you getting emotional. Really felt it. Not only you, many Indians are not exposed to North East people through entertainment medium. South movie industry came into limelight in rest of the country and Bollywood after Bahubali, before that all of us are in shadows and type casted. I am from Telugu speaking states, I met many North Easterners who work here, very nice people. Some events recently made me realise how much I don't want the north east region to not get seperated from us. We may look or talk different but we all belong to India. I hope they continue to preserve their culture. ❤😘
@arnabmajumder34664 жыл бұрын
In some point of view, it's actually good for northeast states not get that much limelight. That's why those places are beautiful. Because we outsiders will spread trash their if those states exposed like mumbai or delhi.
@swethas53354 жыл бұрын
@@arnabmajumder3466 I am not talking about states, I am talking about people. How many times we see cases of them discriminated against? In Delhi, they are some where they are beaten up too. Spreading Trash is true, it is still done when they go there as tourists.

@AS-vv3lb4 жыл бұрын
@@swethas5335 What about discrimination against north easterners in Karnataka? I am not defending problems in Delhi but just very much like a South Indian to put the weight of every problem India faces on the shoulders of North India. North India that has faced the burnt of partition, the riots that followed it and has always been the epicenter of political upheaval in this country. Thus, influencing it's political and cultural and communal demarcations that exist even today. I have nothing against Southerners but what's with this attitude "rape only occurs in Delhi/North" what about the recent Hyderabad one? Every part of this country is the part of problem, madam. Some less and some more, stop generalising. You are talking as if racism does not happen in Southern states and cities with North Easterners // Africans albeit a little less than Delhi or other Northern states but it's there.
@swethas53354 жыл бұрын
@@arundhar5791 And that is also wrong...especially if they the person who is discriminating knows how it feels to be in the other end.
