The behind-the-scenes of the movie is equally thrilling. I saw an interview with the director, Chidambaram, where he said that the crew hallucinated when they visited the cave during location hunting. The reason is that bat-infested caves usually have a lot of bat droppings, which contain a chemical that causes hallucinations. Smelling lemon is an antidote to this. That's why locals mistake this as ghosts, and they believe smelling lemons can ward these things off. He also added that's where the phrase "batshit crazy" originates.

The fact that we are watching a true event ina form of movie so we can predict something is gonna go south. But with each second passing realising it is a true story really have me goosebumps. Initially I thought a bit bad about the boys as in how rowdy they were but gradually into the movie i understood that though they are careless at times their friendship knows no boundaries and that moved me. Just goosebumps into each second of the movie i got. Hands down one of the best movie I saw.

One of the reasons why manjummel boys went to the restricted area ( the real guna caves ) even after seeing the board was because they didn't understand what was written in that board. It was written in Tamil & manjummel boys being malayalis from kerala did not understand it & did not get the real gravity of their mistake.
