Oh my. The 2004 Oscars were the greatest Oscars I have seen in my life (or at least one of the most outstanding ones), and I regulary seen them since decades. Beginning with Billy Crystal, who was amazing and hilarious from the first second til the last. This skit of course, with a laughing Sean Connery and a laughing Robin Williams - which makes my heart ache, now they're dead. Of course, as an admirer of LOTR as well as the film trilogy, this show holds a special place in my heart. At the end, with Spielberg saying "It's a clean sweep" - and closing with Billy Crystal's words "Remember, what happens at the Oscars stays at the Oscars". So wonderful, so hilarious, so special! ♥
