I can’t thank you enough Jack for bringing such an important character into my life. My son has autism, and was going through a rough period of dealing with bullies and feeling like such an outsider. I had the inspiration to tell him “Po didn’t fit in either, until he figured out what made him so special. And he saved king fun just by being himself. And now he’s the Dragon Warrior.” So after some time and self reflection, I can look at my son at any moment and go “Who are you?” And he always looks at me and answers “The Dragon Warrior” every single time. Personally, I think the way I see it, it was his favorite to work on but maybe not necessarily one he's even seen yet (not saying he hasn't, but more in the context of this interview it makes sense that he enjoyed working on it the most). The final product definitely fell HARD from the the trilogy in storytelling, pacing, and even character development, where it basically reverted a bunch of Po's previous developments for no reason. You can obviously still enjoy watching the movie for the joy of seeing Po on the big screen as well, but the drop off in quality was night and day.

As much as I love this franchise I feel the 4th movie wasn't needed. Po is still young to already be retiring as an action hero to a mere teacher and already passing the Dragon Warrior title. Why does Awkwafina keep getting voice work? The Chameleon was told she couldn't do Kung fu because she was short, Shifu and Mantis: "Good story bro." Jack: "Kung fu Panda 4 has one of the best casts in cinema history" The cast of the very first movie: Him, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, David Cross, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, James Hong, Ian McShane and Michael Clark Duncan.

Not gonna lie i’m a bit disappointed. i adore jack black, i think the man is contagious just with his voice and personality not to mention his ability to act. but i gotta say kung fu panda has so much depth in it, it’s seem like he doesn’t know about it, or at least cannot talk about it. i mean like the fact that the whole series is a transition of po from a nobody to a master in which every movie preset a different stage or that every little plot twist was foreseen by oogway, i think a breakdown should at least acknowledge that little info. And i swear i can go on and on about this movie. it’s such a masterpiece, and i do love jack black, i just wanted to hear him say those things from his perspective.

2:47 The first one was not only successful and one of dream works best films, but it produced a sequel that proved the series isn't a fluke 3:40 schdoose people started saying that all time, nacho libre that was another great film, eagle powers 6:20 people are saying the fourth one isn't the best one but I'll take it, it's gotten me to rewatch the movies, viola davis makes a good villain 6:33 I just watched the first one again, yeah Tai Lung was virtually unbeatable, it was a miracle po did beat him, I think that's largely what made the first movie so good, it was this build up of this unlikely hero against impossible odds, but somehow still pulling through and succeeding. By the fourth one he's a veteran of kung fu, he's sort of like the kung fu master from the beginning sequence of the kung fu legend, he's wearing the same garb, his skills have gone up to almost that level
