George Lopez: doesn't teach his kid spanish her: doesn't know spanish george: surprised pikachu face
@itarfer4 жыл бұрын
Victoria Whitlock Music studies say kids pick up much more language from their school setting and friends than their parents, so unless they make a very deliberate effort to teach their kids another language, kids are generally only going to pick up the language most frequently spoken around them. It’s hard for a kid’s brain to retain a second fluent language no matter how much you teach them if no one else in their immediate life speaks in that language.

Dossier in the video George says his children are “not as fluent as him” which implies they do know some.

Colombian here, Spanish is obviously my 1st language and I think that you all are being a bit too much extremists, you may ask, why? Well, I reckon that primarily, no parents job is to "teach their children Spanish if that comes from their roots" because a second language whatever it is or it comes from is NOT an obligation, the only jobs and obligations parents have with their children is to raise them correctly, support them, and else, not to teach 'em any language, also, one of you said that if they don't want to learn it is somehow the parents fault that they'd be ashamed of their culture, well, what assures y'all that that's the case and it's not that they're just lazy or are not interested on learning other language? As there're people who are fully interested on drawing, there're other that are the totally opposite, forcing someone to do it just would make them have a worse disposition to it, nobody likes to be forced, it's beautiful to conserve something from your family's identity, but if you're not interested is not your duty to acquire it, and lemme tell you that that desperate need to remark some Hispanic feature, I feel from my POV that is just a inferiority complex to stand out in a supposed place of other people.

@youtubesecurity79924 жыл бұрын
@@jameswilliam1451 "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" is a *made up* and *nonsense word.* That does not even really count. It's basically a compound word (few word roots _glued together_ and seem at the end like "one" word). Needless to mention that none of these words have english origins - but are loanwords (latin/ancient greek). Such word combinations (and espcially such long words) are totally alien for the english language.

If Jack Black made the 'Nacho Libre' movie in 2021 he'd be canceled by the Left.

I really love Nacho Libre - I've seen it multiple times and it's always fun. Jack Black is just sooo good.

I was put in a ESL in 6th grade and I resented the language and didn’t want nothing to do with the culture. As I grew up I chose to learn and I’ll admit my Spanish still sucks but hey at least I try.
