Why do I feel like i'm being played though? I watched 2 videos from American Idol in a row on the first video they said to the contestant that the Crew is clapping and it has never happened before. Now the crew is voting and it has never happened before. It feels like a publicity stunt. Maybe the "stars above" was the signal to get this done hahhaha. Lionel was torn, glad he changed his vote. He was humble, stood there quietly took their critique and judgement, he didn’t have a sob story, so they didn’t let him through as they would have done with others with the same, if not less, talent. I’m very glad Luke made a fuss about it. He definitely deserved a chance to go through to next round with his vocal and songwriting talent.

His gestures and mouth movement was a little old school, Hank Williams comes to mind as was some of the song with a little yodel put in. The song, words, voice and creativity were excellent and should have outweighed the others. He has great potential and these things easily coachable. I was floored with the no, when I have seen some go thru with just a smidgen of his talent. Way to go crew in turning it around.

Just watched this audition last night, very first comment out loud was, "This guy reminds me of Phillip Phillips". I fully don't understand where Katy nor Lionel were coming from. Seemed like Katy was taken aback by the comment about never saying "I was wrong" before as well.

I was literally cursing at the TV bc there were plenty of auditions before his that did not deserve a standing ovation and a golden ticket. Part of me thinks this was all set up. Either that or Katy Perry is a b*tch

I'm rewatching this video realizing the irony, his song is 'I was wrong'. I've been rooting for Jack from the start, based on auditions. Two of three judges were very wrong. WTG Jack! 🎉
