As a JT fan, what a fighter Jack is 👏 fair play to the boy he came and he fought his heart out again. I thought JT was going to dominate this fight but fair play to Jack. At the end of the day it’s only a fight and aslong as both fighters get back to their family’s safe and well then that is all that matters, what a fight lads 👏

For those who think Taylor did enough to earn a draw, you have to remember that a boxing match is not won by simply pressing the fight and pressuring the other fighter. A boxing match is won by landing more punches and more impactful punches on the opposition.

Catteral was picking him off at ease and won the fight comfortably, superb boxing off the back foot. Watching it back I could only give Taylor 3 rounds that he clearly won, whereas Catteral won 6 rounds clearly. The other 3 rounds were very close and subjective. From that any score from 117-111 to 114-114 would be justifiably because of the close rounds that could go either way, so no corruption. But imo overall Catteral landed more and did more damage with slick combinations and deserved the win.

By the end of the 12th he said I've just got it for Catterall. With no knockdown in the 12th, how the f*** is that even possible. It was comfortably an 8-4 fight to Catterall.

Way too much was made of thr first fight leading into this. Josh taylor would have needed to drop him every round to get a draw with the narrative around it. Dazn commentators were so bias, english crowd, 3 english judges. Taylor outlanding him in 7 rounds (compubox stats) clearly. Poor decisions, but people feel its "fair" because of the past

Taylor constantly pressuring him every round and Jack taking advantage of it because Jack is a very smart fighter and was the best fight iv Seen in a long time but for me Taylor dominated that fight every round Taylor was the one every round putting the pressure on Jack was always the one near the rope but his defence is bang on, I’d call a draw at best but obviously will be a trilogy because Eddie is all money but Taylor did enough this fight and I think catteral took 1st fight, Taylor was mint this fight

I think Catterall dominated the fight BUT I'm not sure he dominated the rounds. Think he lost at least four rounds, probably five. Taylor threw a lot of good body shots and it's as if they weren't scored. Anyway, the correct winner but wide. I hope the judges weren't told to favour Catterall's work to make up for the first fight.

Why have trilogies got to be fought so close together these days? A trilogy should happen over the course of a whole career unless their the two last men standing and there's nowhere else for either fighter to go. There are too many other contenders for the crown. Try and clear out the rest of the division(s) then come back together either both at the top or as a grudge match later on if the former doesn't happen.

Great win by Jack again. He cruised the first 6 rounds and they split the last 6. Taylor made a much better effort than the first fight. Continues to show what a corrupt robbery the first was. Ian John-Lewis is still downgraded as a ref because of that.

I had it about 7-5, the scores were a bit harsh to Josh but I'm convinced he did the better work and landed the cleaner more effective punches. I think he started pretty aggressively and he fatigued around the middle of the fight. Josh won a lot of those later rounds just by being more active and pressing the fight.
