For the price, certainly. I have enjoyed this so much more than their standard. Thanks for sharing!

Oh me too! I can’t believe I forgot to do a whisky war between those two! 😅 I will get to that as soon as I can, cheers Jon!

"The neck pour that wasn't" - hahahaha. I feel your pain. Some are just too good to wait. Cheers!

😂😂😂 so true!

Not really a neck pour, more an early review! Woops 🤭 Also I think the photo on master of malt was referring to the barrel proof but it mentions 45%abv. I saw another at £50… even so it’s cheaper elsewhere in the UK guys, shoot for sub £40 on this one, cheers! 🥃

Great Video Ash ! It was my first bourbon and I love so much, difficult to beat at this price. (In France it can be found at 27 euros sometimes.) Except citrus taste ( I never taste it here) all your impression are mine. I should add nose and taste of polished wood. But it seems that it change from a bottle to another because of single barrel, isn't it? You will do a "war" between this and bulleit 10 or another ?
@WhiskyWarsАй бұрын
Hi and thank you! I am hoping to buy the Jim Beam Single barrel soon and do a war between those 2 but I can whichever you’d like. I’ve done the Bulleit 10 against the standard Bulleit bourbon 🙂 €27 is a fantastic price! Great great value

I picked it up for £30 in Tesco and it’s good stuff

Yeah that nail varnish note and that glue note is quite obvious in most bourbons unfortunately due to the corn. This is one of my favourite American whiskies but the 50% abv one and if you can get the barrel proof one is better. Cheers dude! oh also if you can try somewhere for a good price the Sinatra Select is probably the best Jack Daniel's ever!
@WhiskyWarsАй бұрын
Yeah im definitely not a fan of the varnish at all! I’m probably gonna shoot for the barrel proof, I don’t want to gamble on £50 for the 50% and I’ve heard great things about the barrel proof like you say! Thanks for the recommendation Sertug, cheers! 🥃

I overpaid for the 100 proof version at an airport once, probably paid 60-70£. Im having a glass right now. Personally not the biggest fan of the banana flavour in JD, it has mellowed off a bit but I still get it in the backend. Initial flavour tho I am not the biggest fan off, reminds me off dishwashing liquid 😬. For 30-40 quid its a great pickup as you say, especially for old fashioned's.

The banana can sometimes come off more like the banana boat candy if you know what I mean! A touch artificial so I get why that bothers you but I’m hoping the barrel proof fixes that! But I like that there’s some extra notes that I’m not used to in here and if you catch it on sale I think it’s worth picking up, cheers Kevin! But yes £70 is a touch steep in my opinion but don’t worry we’ve all been there, I once bought a whisky full price and the next day it went on a 25% off sale! 🥲😅

@@WhiskyWars Haha been there many times. And then you feel like you have to buy it again at 25% off 🤣

The barrel proof version is far superior. Treat yourself! 😉

Haha I think so and maybe for Christmas, always a good excuse!

@@WhiskyWarsMake sure you enjoy the fire of the 64.3 abv or keep a bottle of water on hand. I have tried less burning cask strengths

I’ve not seen that one in Tesco

@@eymerichinquisitore9022 don’t worry - I sure Ash can handle it. He’s a pro! 😉🥃
