Nice review! I live less than an hour from the Jack Daniel’s distillery and have been on their tour multiple times. Their rickhouses are massive and they have a lot of them. JD does produce some amazing whiskey, you just have to get past Old Number 7 and Gentleman Jack.

Old No7 and Gentleman Jack are like reverse advertising for JD 😂 Making everyone think the company is worse than it is. I must admit that I used to be a JD hater but their better expressions are some of my favourite American whiskies.

Good review. Have you try the Jack Daniel's Single barrel barrel proof? That is a Tennessee whiskey on steroids starting about in range of low to high 60's% ABV This would depend upon the barrel. Hi Anthony. Yes I tried one of those a while back. IMHO most Jack Daniels that is 43%+ is fairly equal on quality. You just pay a bit more for a bit more ABV which is a pretty nice option to have really! Obviously the flavour profile varies on these single cask bottlings as you'd expect but then so it should. I've been thinking a lot recently about how Jack Daniel's out of all distilleries must have the biggest difference between their standard bottling and everything else. That Old No 7 is just dire, and Gentleman Jack is pretty disappointing too, but everything else is fairly nice. Cheers!
