Warren jack came with the most amazing story i have ever heard about making it in the music business. His desire as a young man too make it happen but not in the way he planned. Seem's as if his foots step were directed by some higher power to put him in the right place at the right time, this could be a movie. Jack thank you for sharing this story.

Yea - that's hilarious... I was at sea for 11-12 years and if we wanted to give the stewards a hard time we ordered soup when the weather was rough. Did we laugh? You bet. They used to put damp table cloths on the table to stop the plates/bowls sliding around :) Hard times indeed. But yea, wouldn't swap it for the world.

I really wonder what was his experience working with Lennon in regards to mixing. I remember hearing Imagine, Plastic Band, Mind Games, Double Fantasy, etc. and I found those albums mildy enjoyable. I thought they were; in my opinion, very "over-cooked" production-wise. Then, the Raw/Stripped Down mixes come out & they're night & day for me. Lennon sounds so present, tender & gutteral on those mixes that it made me wonder "why did he hated his voice so much? He sounds amazing." Again, respect for all the producers/engineers who made all of this possible, but it really bugles my mind why did the end product sounded like that.
@BuffaloBeatle2 ай бұрын
My one cent for what it’s worth, I think John was always chasing the Phil Spector sound but was smart enough to not get entangled with the guy himself haha
@mjuzumaki2 ай бұрын
@@BuffaloBeatle shii, you can say THAT again 🤣 (but my point still stands. He's work was; for the most part, over-produced. But I put the blame on Lennon, not the people he was working with.)

You know which producer you NEVER hear about? Mike Stone. You know the guy behind Journey, Queen, Asia, Forigner, etc…? There is basically NO info about that guy anywhere but his Wikipedia page. Strange that he had so much to do with some great albums but you never hear about him.
