Jack Marston voice glitch debunked? - RDR2 *Spoiler*

A lot of discussion about whether or not Jack Marston's voice and/or the original voice actor is in Red Dead Redemption 2 and there by hopefully proving the possibility of some kind of DLC or RDR1 remake (or maybe just unfinished content). So is this actually Jack Marston's voice and did Rockstar screw up and associate it with an NPC, in addition to it also glitching over John Marston's voice? You decide.

It's definitely his voice, but the question remains, why is it in the game? His voice files are in the game's code, but what for? I'm hoping for an rdr 1 remake, but i believe a more believable dlc will be a Jack Marston DLC that takes place after the ending of the first when he and abigail are forced to flee. A story dlc centering around how he became a proficient gunslinger before his final showdown with Edgar Ross would be swell

@@Fanible That voice is from one of the Bus drivers in Saint Denis, when you talk to him, he says the same lines with the same voice. The driver has a black moustache and blond hair.

It’s literally Josh Blaylock he’s listed the credits for RDR2. For those unaware, Blaylock voices Jack in RDR.

Do you have a link? Although this was possibly debunked there’s still evidence of a remaster due to the rdr1 Mexico music showing when your in Mexico in rdr2 that’s still a big hint to a remaster. Why would rockstar put that if Mexico isn’t accessible plus they patched it soon after

I think they just called Jack's voice actor to voice some NPC, but because of some glitch / bug, his voice is on John. (My English is a work in progress)

Segment with Jack as playable character, takes place in 1914 and segment with John in 1911. Which means. He's probably just about 18 or 19 years old.

its definitely Jack's voice actor, but why the voice is used for an NPC, and why it sometimes comes from John is still pretty strange. my theory is that it was planned for adult Jack to appear in the game at some point, but the sound files were left in the game and reused for NPCs, but i guess leftover code or whatever makes it come from John under certain circumstances.

The first rdr didnt have the greet antagonize option... so the only way to explain it is a storymode dlc and seamless transition to the end of rdr2... why else would you end the game just running around and doing chores at the farm? Not to mention they already have Mexico and other places built in the game... no id say it a very high probability of a remastered rdr1 dlc to pick up where the last one left off. Im thinking they remaster it and add a bunch of missions side missions stranger missions etc... hoping to play as Charles and sadie and jack would be cool to switch off sorta like gta5... there is way too many unanswered questions also... like what happened on the boat when dutch killed the girl that they talk about throughout the game. Or what John marston was doing when he left the gang for a year. So many things rockstar can do with the rdr lore. I'm stoked

Shane Daniel In the first rdr you can greet/antagonize people by pressing O/B. Friendly greetings when you have high honour and antagonizing when you have low honour

I was watching a vid about the cut gang member Eliza and her voice lines in the game. Interestingly there were some npc dialogue that sounded similar to Eliza’s. This makes me wonder if these voice line really are Jack’s but were cut and reused for npc dialogue

Okay everyone is saying that it's just an npcs voice that glitch on to the player but why is it that one voice that sounds just like jack why isn't it any other npcs voice what I think is that they were going to make a remake but they probably scrapped or canceled it or something for online because they already made bonnie shaky and archer just for a few little scenes I don't believe that a remake is all I want from rockstar but no they just focus on that trash online also there is nothing to do in new Austin that place just feels so empty there no side missions except for the bountys in tumbleweed but that's it the desert is totally unused

I got this glitch while playing with cheats. It is 100% legit because I couldn't interact with anyone at all and when I could, I only had the greet option and John spoke in this exact voice.

It's real. Seth Briars npc model was found in the pc files using mods. Rockstar has many studios, hell they just opened a new one in Scotland and they don't release games very often. They are most definitely working on a full rdr1 remaster using the rdr2 engine and world. They have one of their smaller studios working on, but after they caught flack for their ridiculous work weeks things have slowed considerably, but it's on its way, it won't be a dlc it will be a stand alone game, but it won't be full priced.

@@allan7306 I mean, it's not _innacurate_ , it's just dumb. If the game took place in the 1920s, the whole Western theme would have to be thrown away, basically. Red Dead 1 ends in the end of the end, so there's really not much they could do to drag the story forward.

This theory has been talked about a few times. The gist is Jack gets drafted into WW1, comes back and becomes a bootlegger. Something like a Boardwalk Empire feel to it. It’d be a jarring change from 6 shooters and horses to tommy guns and fords however, and it’d feel too much like a GTA set in the 20s. Realistically speaking Red Dead 3 would feature a new character/gang set during the peak of the Wild West.

I'm flattered, but this NPC voice actor isn't hard to find (plus where would we have gotten the original audio files?). Just go to Blackwater and keep playing games and eventually you will get him. I've heard from other posters you can find him as a trolley attendant as well, but haven't come across this myself.
