lol tiramisu is ridiculously easy to make. You just whisk together mascarpone, egg yolks, and sugar. Whisk your egg whites stiff in a separate bowl. Then gently mix the two mixtures together. Make two expresso shots and add some Amaretto to them. Dip the ladyfingers (Savoiardi biscuits) briefly in the coffee and Amaretto mixture, one at a time, and add them to a tray in one layer. Then add the mascarpone mixture in one layer, and then one layer of the ladyfingers again. Keep doing this until you've used all the mascarpone mixture, and finish with a layer of the mascarpone mixture. Then drizzle some cocoa powder on top, and leave it in the fridge for a few hours (preferably 12 hours). It's so easy, and doesn't take more then 20 min to do.

20 minutes LOL. It's airy statements glossing over practical reality like that (plus assuming everyone has "essentials" such as an expresso maker) that put people off cooking. If recipes were just honest about how long it takes the first time you do a recipe - and from the very beginning to the very end - then maybe fewer people would be put off trying.
