Loved this so much! I’ve followed Jack on Twitter for ages now and it was wonderful to hear her voice at last. Can’t wait to get the book and start cooking from it. Wishing all the love and success in the world to Jack! ❤️😊😘😘

I can’t emphasise enough how much I look up to jack monroe. Where veganism is concerned I agree with what she is saying , I’m vegan and it is cheap to be vegan but when your broke and hungry the last thing you want is someone telling you your ignorant for not being aware or cruel for being aware and eating meat anyway. People get hungry and stressed. They wanna eat the foods that give them comport. I’m vegan and am able to be vegan but not everyone mentally is able to relinquish things they enjoy because that’s there comfort. I love their recipes. And I’ve been a fan since the early days.

Life skills. This is great. I've often wondered how important something is in a recipe. I made this mac and cheese but on the stove. Marmite in cheese sauce, surprisingly good.

Love Jack's way of cooking! You're so right about the generational gap, lots of us were brought up on convenience food or on a very limited budget!

I’ve been following Jack for along time now but this is the first time I think I’ve seen an interview - can’t wait to get a copy of her book, she talks so well and with such sense on how we should approach life never mind food and cooking! So much to learn from her.

This is the first video i've ever watched of Jack. So articulate, funny and such a creative mind! Tea is such a great idea, I would never had thought of that haha

Thanks for all your hard work Jack ,it's much appreciated. I have two of your cookery books in my collection of about 20 books. When I feel tired or down I turn to your recipes as I can rely on them to be tasty, nourishing , simple and dare I say it 😁 vegan!! As for commenting about how a woman looks 🙃 I would say that the beauty in your heart can be seen on your face!!! Blessings to you xxx

Interesting I've got a cooking book from the 1930s two things I noticed there were some 'foreign' recipes in there that I did not expect and secondly the ingredients list was far shorter than modern chef recipe books we see today

In some indian recipes they use black tea as well. Like in the chole, a chickpea curry where the chickpeas are boiled with tea. And she is right the gravy gets a rich taste similar to adding wine. She is a kitchen genius for figuring that out herself!

I'd love to see Jack cooking lactose free or gluten free food. I'm lactose intolerant, so I need ideas for recipes, especially during the lockdown. Watching from London.

Check her website - she also has done a book called Veganish which one of my friends (who has a major dairy allergy) loves (as do I). A lot of her recipes are GF or can be easily adapted .

Photogenic Jack appears genuine and unpretentious enough, no fan of cookery programs or glorified self obsessed chefs but I would happily see what Jack has to say, refreshing freedom of speech. How adorable!

How I admire her personality. Its difficult to be an activist. The world needs love, kindness, justice and food in mugs. Yes.
