Never knew this soundtrack as a musical score existed. The things you find on youtube. Thanks for posting

Still remember watching this movie with my parents and I never really cared for the movie itself but the background synth music was superb for bringing a ton of atmosphere to the movie. 17:44 is my favorite piece, so melodic but yet held a great beat to amp up a chase scene or a fight.

The really, REALLY good stuff kicks in right at 23:00 if anyone just wants to skip to the ass-kicking portion of the score. Just a heads-up.

Awesome find! I loved this movie as a kid, and love hearing the soundtrack now. Train Chase makes me feel 10 again. One (slightly related) question - Whats the "bumper" music from your banner at the beginning? I'd love to hear more of that.

I have the 10 track CD, was this score on CD or just LP? Great to hear all these!

LP + Cassette for 8 track in late 85. Then the 10 track came out on CD in Summer of1986-obviously to make even more money!

Ah, the 80s. Whenever the bad guy is doing something, the music turns into distinctly like a Middle Eastern stereotype. When the heroes are winning, it changes on a dime to an 80s dance club. I enjoy it, but I also see it for what it is. Then again, not much has changed. The great white hope vs the "Arab" baddie. I love the movie, but it suffers from the same complex that many American films do. Gee, I wonder who the villain is? Maybe the Middle Eastern guy they play stereotype music for every time he comes on screen. Not that you can't do a movie like this, but when every movie has the same stereotype, it gets a little annoying, even in films I enjoy.

…blimey, well then I bet casting the decidedly _Californian_ ‘Flying Karamazov Brothers’ as Sufi tribesmen in the film must’ve _really_ caused you to choke on your ethically-sourced quinoa! And let’s not even dwell on a Jewish performer portraying a pseudo Islamic holy man (heaven forbid)… Don’t overthink these things Chris just enjoy escapist entertainment for what it is. 🙂
