I had the privilege of standing on stage and performing 4 songs with Jack,Ralph, and Steve ashiem glen Benton didn't make it to this particular gig in the UK , and jokingly I said to Ralph, ' I'll do a couple of numbers if you need' half way through watching the first band the security keep shining a torch at me ,and the rest is history .

I noticed the Railhammers right away, then the green dunlops, light string gauges, floyd, Crate, jesus Jack, you must have influenced me somehow :P Met Jack back in 2006 and he was such a cool, down to earth dude. Jack's current band, Six Feet Under, which he joined three years ago and features his former Cannibal Corpse bandmate, Chris Barnes, who was the original vocalist of CC, is releasing a new album in two weeks. The album is called Nightmares of the Decomposed and it comes out October 2nd!

Yep, it's all about how you use the gear. Focus on your playing and creativity. You don't need the most expensive gear to sound good.
@illuddivinus33093 жыл бұрын
What people easily forget is that using a Solid State Preamp like that Crate, has expression knobs for the actual tone and presence, which in turn helps shape the sound. Plus line 6 shines in a mix. Even the older modelers like Jacks sound good when not being singled out.

I heard Jack was in Six Feet Under now. Then I heard a new track and was reminded how Chris Barnes is quite possibly the worst vocalist in DM right now. Fucking ouch, boys.
@admiralackbar72163 жыл бұрын
He’s the worst vocalist in death metal period listen to every generic vocalist and that’s what Chris Barnes sounds like the first 4 cannibal corpse albums are good and they’re 100% classics but his voice is boring and he can’t sing high at all he just lacks the skill that a good vocalist has he does these screeches and passes it off as a high scream it sounds horrible and the bleeding should have had George on it tomb of the mutilated is the last good thing he released and atleast it sounds good with his singing style but really anyone can do what Chris does not to mention he’s also a huge dick head and starts arguments with actual talented people in the scene
@admiralackbar72163 жыл бұрын
I feel bad for jack cause he’s an amazing guitar player that’s playing with a horrible singer it’s almost like van halen Eddie van halen is a phenomenal guitarist and then he’s stuck with a dancer named David lee Roth who’s better at talking to the crowd and being a dick then actually singing

Yup digitech stuff doesn't last. I went through two of those workstations and the footswitches keep breaking and the buttons becoming almost non functional. This came from the Rp100a and the GNX1. I moved on to the Boss ME 80 and Line 6 PODXT. They are way more dependable. Like Jack, I too use Crate amps. They are very underrated. The shockwave is the best one I got so far. It's good enough to compete with the 5150, jcm 900 and the mesa boogie rectifier.
