I keep my 1 year old jack russell in the kitchen when I leave my house and the past couple of times I've come home he's out of the kitchen just wandering around. This time I put my GoPro on the kitchen table to see exactly how he does it.

Honestly my roommate has one and it's so hard not to kick it to death. It's the most pathetic dog ever. Constantly has to be on or touching him FREAKS out when he goes to the bathroom. And growls and attacks anyone who approaches him when hes sitting down. It's not cute, it's not adorable, she's not " protecting him" because the second she feels threatened she whimpers and whines and runs to him. If she wants to sit in his lap and he's not in the mood, she'll sit and shake uncontrollably. They're pathetic, annoying, shitty dogs and the same goes for any dog that is 30lbs and under. 95 percent of people who have a Russell are garbage humans because they are working dogs and everything I described is a side effect of her not being on the prowl and killing rats or any other acceptable job for a dog like that. Because Jack Russell's NEED JOBS THEYRE NOT DAMN PETS.

@@daisydick2290 mine is a pet and is doing just fine. He doesn’t kill vermin, he has his ball and that’s sufficient. Please don’t spread lies about the breed like that, that’s not fair on the dog. Mine is absolutely amazing and adorable and will do anything for me, he’s well trained but all of that I did myself looking at the yt videos. We are only taking professional training from last summer. Your roommate’s made a baby out of that dog and that’s the problem. It’s always human’s fault, never the dog, she doesn’t know anything besides her owner, how can she be to blame? If you are wanting to make a dog your lifestyle and do as much as you can to teach it all you can then Jack Russell Terrier will be amazing. They’ve got a lot of fire in them, big personality like a big, working dog, but they are small and compact. They are sturdy enough you shouldn’t worry if you accidentally kick or sit on them 😬 they are amazing!

All though he totally climbed the gate, A Jack Russell can easily jump that gate. They love to run and jump. After playing around the apartment, the dog will climb back over the gate (when it hears dad at the door) and sit as though he has been a good boy all day. 🤣

😂😂 They are so clever! We all have stories to tell. My dog, a weimaraner, when I first got him, in a very bad condition, skinny, sad, scared, it took me just couple of days to make him feel as a member of the family and be happy and welcome , and of course gaining weight day after day. Some days later, I found out that while I was away, he would jump the kitchen board and play with the paper Roller Blind!!! He destroyed 2 Roller Blinds! 😂😂

They’re such quick problem solvers. After I rescued my 1st I learned how quickly. I made a sheet pan of meatballs to bake, went upstairs to let the oven pre-heat & in the 5 or 6 minutes I had been upstairs my guy, Tucker, had hopped from furniture piece to furniture piece, parkour style, to the steel island I had them resting. He had eaten 6. 🤦‍♂️ You’d think I’d learn. Nope. I rescued another one, Louie, & I go to the store/pharmacy less than 1 mile from my house. In less than 10 min they had figured out, again parkour-style how to get on top of the round dining table to gorge on a X-mas dish filled with aluminum wrapped Reese’s cups. They were smart enuf to spit out the aluminum….everywhere. THAT was my final lesson learned. I 💜 the spirit of the breed.

My family adopted a rescue Boston terrier once. When we first brought him home, we would leave him in one of those metal assembled dog crates when we would go to work and he could not be monitored. Well, that only lasted one morning. I came home from lunch and Roscoe our new adopted Boston Terrier was sleeping on the sofa! He busted out of the metal crate and made his self at home. That was the last time he was placed in a crate.

JRT’s are houdini’s. My mailman was terrified because our JRT hid in a bush and chased him past our house barking every day. The mailman thought if she ever got out she would attack him. Till I met him and told him, then showed him how she could easily open our gate and get out. He then met her and she rolled over for a belly rub. To her, chasing him on our side of the yard was a game she looked forward to. After he passed our house she would let herself out and eat our neighbours (plural) cat food. We had a wire gate that she would climb and shake her body like crazy until the latch unhooked and the gate just opened, luckily we lived in a small country town in Australia.

First time we took our JR to the beach we got to a good spot and let her off her lead - still wearing harness & we fully expecting her to at the very least run excitedly to the waters edge like all the other dogs. What she DID do was a complete 180° and in just a few seconds she had somehow scaled about 50feet halfway up a sheer vertical cliff face in search of eggs or chicks! We simply could not believe it - it seemed to us that at any second she'd either fall to her doom or else get her harness stuck on the sparse but very hardy climbing root vegetation be left hanging helplessly til a rescue could be gotten together ❤️ We were beside ourselves with fear ( when the tide came in we would be forced to retreat quite a distance and it WAS coming in ) yet she was oblivious to all of this 'local knowledge' as she kept up her maniacal quest incessantly barking like crazy, so much so that we didn't think she could possibly hear our frantic calls & to make matters worse we could see the cliff's shadow lengthening and knew it would soon be dark and bitterly cold within an hour😳 😱😭😞 Thankfully some 30min later she'd had her fun and now the seagulls and terns were now just downright annoying her and giving her too much to think about in defence of their nests so she finally looked down and fully surprised herself!! Nevertheless she now manoeuvred - with some pensive missteps along the way - til about 10feet to go she just did a flop drop and roll onto the sand below and bouncing back up to look where she'd been - I swear her immediate thought was to give it another crack, lol We all pounced on her not believing the outcome and that our hearts could recover at last. What an absolute pacemaker she was - we now often joke that she must have had 'Cat' somewhere in her ancestral-line as now that she has moved on we figure she'd had ALL if not more than nine-lives in her 18years ( the back nine into the clubhouse were just as hairy a ride, lol ) I miss little Molly so much - these clips are just HEAVEN to me, thank you dearly ❤️ 🙏
