@@josephburney2283only a little bit though. This song is forever attached to the first pretty girl i ever had the balls to make out with when i was 16. Music is so powerful. What drug can make you have that same rush of good feelings, 5, 10, 20 years later? (Maybe acid? 😉 JK!) I think of certain songs as a soundtrack to my life. As I watch this, I can't help but think it represents relationships. Everyone starts off together, very attached, full of energy, and they make it look easy. As time goes on, people drop out, either together or one just can't keep going, despite their partner holding on. Some couples drop out faster, easier than others, but in the end the couples either keep staying together, out of shear faith, while others despite not being perfect dancers, the perfect pair, actually choose to take the plunge.

This song is most definitely about a love that can never be broken. Lies, fear, sorrow, and pain have no effect. Sometimes, love is so strong that not even Superman is strong enough to break it. If I were to dedicate this song to anyone, it would be you two. Stay strong, Riahh.

I took the words more literally. The song is making a beautiful sense of a disaster where the whole world is ending. Dark blue is representing the water that has ingulfed the whole city and death is inevitable but the narrator is looking at the wonderful memories that he made with his significant other and rather than panic he looks at the brighter side of things. Nobody would ever think the water above them that there drowning in is a "perfect shade of dark blue" unless you change perspectives

To me, this video represents how a lot of relationships start off as: fun and exciting, but after being with that person a while, you realize that he/she is not the one. Only a few relationships are meant to last, while a lot of them break down. The hard part is whether the couple has enough strength to fight through those problems and if they do, then they'll go off in their own world together, while leaving their past hardships and pain behind.

This song really only has about 2.5 million views on KZbin? Extremely surprising. Especially given all the other songs on here that have 50-100+ million views. When I'm here with you I said the world could be burning, burning down Dark blue, dark blue Have you ever been alone in a crowded room? Well I'm here with you I said the world could be burning 'Til there's nothing but Dark blue, dark blue This flood This flood is slowly rising up Swallowing the ground Beneath my feet Tell me how anybody thinks Under this condition So I'll swim I'll swim As the water rises up Sun is sinking down And now all I can see Are the planets in a row Suggesting it's best that I Slow down This night's a perfect shade of Dark blue, dark blue Have you ever been alone in a crowded room? When I'm here with you I said the world could be burning, burning down Dark blue, dark blue Have you ever been alone in a crowded room? Well I'm here with you I said the world could be burning Dark blue We were boxing We were boxing the stars We were boxing You were swinging for mars And then the water reached the west coast And took the power lines, the power lines And it was me and you And the whole town under water There was nothing we could do It was dark blue Dark blue, dark blue Have you ever been alone in a crowded room? When I'm here with you I said the world could be burning, burning down Dark blue Have you ever been alone in a crowded room? AlexxEnglishh honestly man, that feeling should never be abandoned. You should forever romanticize the idea of valuing someone so much that you are alone with them in a crowded room. It doesn’t have to be literal. It might be an abstraction, but it relates to something so real.

What I personally got from the vid: Couples are really happy together and both of them are full or life but as time drags on the relationship gets harder to hold on to. The guys try to hold the relationship together but the girls end it (the girls stopped dancing first in the vid) In the end they have to face facts that its over for them and jump into the sea to be sweeped away by the current into diff directions. Such a beautiful piece of art..

I saw Andrew when he was with Something Corporate in 2004. I got to help move his piano off stage and onto the truck because I was part of the stage crew. I still have a small scar on my left hand from moving it. It was such a great time in my life. What a great voice and an amazing song writer.

LYRICS: I have (I have) you breathing down my neck (breathing down my neck) I don't (don't know) what you could possibly expect under this condition so I'll wait (I'll wait) for the ambulance to come (ambulance to come) Pick us up off the floor What did you possibly expect under this condition so Slow down.. this night's a perfect shade of Dark blue (dark blue) Have you ever been alone in a crowded room when I'm here with you I said the world could be burning (burning) down Dark blue (dark blue) Have you ever been alone in a crowded room well I'm here with you I said the world could be burning 'til there's nothing but dark blue.. Just dark blue This flood (this flood) is slowly rising up swallowing the ground Beneath my feet, Tell me how anybody thinks under this condition so I'll swim (I'll swim) as the water rises up, the sun is sinking down And now all I can see are the planets in a row Suggesting it's best that I slow down This night's a perfect shade of Dark blue (dark blue) Have you ever been alone in a crowded room when I'm here with you I said the world could be burning (burning) down Dark blue (dark blue) Have you ever been alone in a crowded room well I'm here with you I said the world could be burning dark blue We were boxing We were boxing the stars We were boxing (we were boxing) You were swinging for Mars And then the water reached the West Coast And took the power lines (the power lines) And it was me and you (this could last forever) And the whole town under water There was nothing we could do It was dark blue Dark blue (dark blue) Have you ever been alone in a crowded room well I'm here with you I said the world could be burning (burning) down Dark blue Have you ever been alone in a crowded room well I'm here with you I said the world could be burning now there's nothing but dark blue If you've ever been alone in the dark blue If you've ever been alone you'll know (you'll know)

Ahhh I remember this video! Last time I watched this was on MTV when I was in 7th grade, I feel so old now.... it's crazy how when you’re a kid you can't wait to be an adult, then when you’re an adult you would do anything to be a kid again and start over. The clock ticks so much faster now.

This is my favourite song of all time, there is no doubt. So many hard times were got through by this song, and just Andrew's projects as a whole, Dark Blue, Konstantine and Rescued probably have to be my three favourite songs of all time.
