This is brilliant! Thanks for sharing. All questions you’ve asked is everything I’ve wanted to know as well, especially the location (Bernard’s neighbourhood). Nottingham looks like a great place. As for the show, I prefer the original & I stopped watching when they rebooted the show. The gnome episode was brilliant as were most of them. David Peachey did an amazing job and it’s nice to hear he’s doing well as a GP now. Thanks again for sharing the interview.

I''ve just been reminiscing about this show, and watched a few Series 1 episodes. It surprised me that I still found the show totally bewitching as an adult, and of course, I still wish I had that damn watch. lol The older you get the more you realise just how important time is, and how there never seems to be enough of it. Thank you for the wonderful interview Jack, David seems like the complete opposite of tv star personality wise, so down to earth! I hope he realises how many kids he helped to enchant with this wonderful tv classic. :)

You did well, it sounded like hard work getting any nuggets of humour or a story out of him!

Hearing his voice as an adult makes me feel so old right now because I'm used to him as a child actor on Bernard's Watch

You should try and get the other lad who played Bernard in the reboot on for a chat.

Great interview. I remember thinking when I used to watch this show that he seemed quiet and shy, bit like me at school, that we would of been friends.

Thank you so much for this podcast Jack as you are doing interviews with those who were involved with retro children's television programmes I was wondering whether you have an interview planned with Karl Woolley who is well-known for his presenting work on Fun Song Factory and Playdays The Poppy Stop?

I bet Bernard didn’t think Lucy was from a scary film, because I bet her last name was Addams!
