Lived in Mahwah, NJ...nearly 17...still in high school....was in love with a fellow that lived in Rockland County, NY...he just wasn't ready for a actual relationship...life took us into different paths...now over 50+ yrs later, I am a widow (married 50 1/2 yrs). Husband died in Aug 2012, we had, now grown 4 grown "kids" & he has been a widower for over 14 yrs with 1 grown daughter...now a relationship seems to be blooming once again...both in our 70's but that doesn’t mean that regaining love is impossible...keeping fingers crossed & praying that God thinks that we deserve it!!!

When this song came out I was a teenager living in Niagara Falls NY. Jack had a big following in that area. Probably because in hails from the Detroit/Windsor area. I always liked his deep voice.

I have to change my mind. Just listened to Sonny James sing this song. He did a great job, but Jack Scott does better. I was young when this came out too. All the girls loved Jack Scott and I did too.

Great vid, Thanks! And yes, of course it's a lip-sync. Clark's producers preferred that approach, since setting up a live band was usually a real pain for them, and the audio hard to get 'just right' in those days. There were some live things on Clark's show, but this ain't one of 'em, just a sync to the Top Rank 45. Cool to see the young Jack at work, though he seems a tad uncomfortable, probably because his backing singers, the Chantones, weren't there although heard.
