Idk if Jack's commentary would be as in depth as the UFC official booth - He won't have an extensive list of each fighters substance abuse history, on going legal proceedings, deceased family members, and custody battles without Jon Anik, and therefore will not be able to abruptly bring it up during every fight.

A thing i noticed, Yan was catching Sandhagen at the end of Cory's defensive movements. Cory would move his feet and head, and as soon as he would stop, thinking he had exited the exchange and was safe, Yan would close the distance and score heavy single shots. It was insane, masterful work

I feel like junior wrestling credentials can be misleading in mma. 49-46 for Yan a tad harsh on Cory, I had it 48-47 with 3,4,5 all Yan. Biggest takeaway from this fight for Cory is he had much improved TDD and scrambles and just overall better wrestling. His cardio, kicks and movement was a thing of beauty. Main differentiating factor was Yan's boxing which was super crisp and had wayyy more pop and sting. Cory was just pop shotting all along, would have been interesting to see him throw more heat with his punches. Great fight all around!
@Heartbeat0N3 жыл бұрын
Damage is king as per the rules. What damage Corey did in the second? I rewatched the fight. Heavy body kicks, straight left to the chin that made Cory briefly loose balance, spinning backfist into left hook, overhand left, short elbow on a break after failed takedown by Cory. All Yan. The only big strike for Corey is his flying knee but its hard to see where it landed and it didn't visibly affect Yan.

It was a poor decision to disqualify Jan and gave Sterling the belt, in a fight he was clearly loosing. A no contest would have been the right thing to do, and not make such a bad and hard decision for him bring Russian. I have no doubt about this. Man Yan is the best in his weightclass, and maybe be as succesull one class up. Sterling should give the belt back, he is scared and was very surpriced by Yan's technic and power, even like yesterday D.C. and in the Sterling fight Joe Rogan was trying to selling that Sterling had won, like in this fight, where exept of the 1st round, YAN won the other 4 rounds. Yan is the best Bantamweight amd going a class up Yan can brake Wolkanowski. Usman is strong, but where are the those great contenders in his class????? Nobody - Only the Lightweight class has a few stronger competitors, the UFC is far from a really great orgsnization, always looking for money first.
