Your welcome! I'm retired these days, but I was a welder/fabricator. From experience I complement you. Attention to detail is everything, it makes the job. Well done!

It's very nice to see quality workmanship and using good equipment and new materials. Some welding videos you see, on KZbin, they use rusting metal, which isn't cleaned first, then they have a car balancing on what ever they made normally wearing a pair of flip flops.
@peternewman95810 ай бұрын
When lifting on the side keep your extensions out as far as possible so the jack stands are close to the wheels as possible This will make it more stable and also reduce the risk of body stresses that could leave marks in your roof etc.

Nice welding (even the arc welds were really nice ) and lovely music ,most people put the most irritating head smashing music.. I can watch a video for 10 hrs with this type of music and feel focused and calm afterwards .. TY!

Thanks. Here is more countryside than urban cities. Past days people have needed to learn to make things by themselves. Even that, now there is online stores, making nearly everything by yourself has become more like an a tradition, than actual need. Finns just don't buy, if they can make it. ( ones living in the country side )

Idea is: That you can lift one side, whole front or rear up. With one jack = one lift, and then place jack stands under the support. Leaves axles free, allows working with drivetrains, suspension etc.. Making takes about a day, used surplus material, so costs we're less than 20$ for me. Width can be adjusted. Optimal lifting point can be found from every car. ( very most of them ) Biggest reason to make this thing, was that our kids are using my tools when they are fixing their cars. I don't wan't them to use wood block aids for lifting or stands that are unsure. Of course, i have several bought stands too. None of them can be placed firmly under this kind of lifting support. So, i made a specific stands for it, to get safe and quick to use way to lift a car. I use bought stands for extra safety instead, and place them under the skirt just in case. Always use several stands, if you are working under the car! Structure is tested with 8 ton press. So, it holds easily 2 ton car.

Paljon kiitoksia.
