I was there. In my opinion, that was the best moment at NAMM 2018 for me. I couldn't stop my tear dropping during this performance. This video is great.(Every Jack's videos are great.) But real live sound is more great. I hope more many people listen to his music. Thanks.

I can't thank enough for all this modern day technology (Internet, KZbin etc...) that allows us to listen/witness these one of a kind, timeless performances. Who would know in my "youngster days" about some kid from Thailand being such a gifted guitar player ? Well..., as much as I hate all the struggles that I have to face while setting up the connection between my newly acquired *Apple I-Pod* and our local Wi-Fi, I feel blessed and rewarded tenfold whenever I get a chance to listen to the people like Jack Thammarat, Marco Sfogli, Martin Miller, Tom Quayle, and a whole gamut of young, super gifted guitar virtuosos. (Sorry for not mentioning many others, equally if not more famous dudes. There is a whole army of guitar geniuses these days. It is impossible to list them all by name. The list would be a few miles/km's long Lol...). Let me just name Jack Thammarat as the one who represents them all... ♫♫ ♥❀(~‿~)❀♥ ♫♫

This was an ‘Amadeus Mozart’ performance & a rendition of this song that, hands down, came straight out of the cosmic! Raw power, melody, feeling, emotion, technique, tone, etc. all represented in one LIVE take better than any human guitarist should be able to deliver! What an absolutely awesome, mind blowing cover! Almost too much to handle.........

The genius of this is now that the great one has passed... A lot of guitar players are picking it apart and making into a symphony on the 6,7, and 8 string guitars... I have been playing guitar for 36 years, and this song was written on a desco Wurlitzer, and 6 string standard tuned guitar (by Lisa and Wendy)... Prince (Nelson Rogers) later put the fills in from his dad's work on the piano... As I said, I've been playing a while... And, the beauty of what these guys are doing now is recognizing his genius, and the genius of his father as well...Word-voicing on the mark is just a better way to enjoy the lyrics and the tickling of the old ivory... on a 6,7, or 8 string guitar... His daddy wrote it on 88 strings...
