What I love so much about early Sabbath is how much they did on such terrible equipment. Geezer was using a P-Bass with 2+ y/o strings on an cab with a broken speaker, Ward was crashing away on a K-Mart drumset, and Iommi was shredding on a generic Gibson EB with banjo strings and a bass amp. Truly incredible.

Note for Note, you did it justice GREAT TIMING and FEELING. Great job, wish you lived near me I can play it on Drums pretty much note for note.

I always thought he used Jazz bass in the 70s. And was wondering why I was getting a closer tone with just my P pick up on, and my J off. I got a Jaguar with a PJ configuration.

Thanks man, you help me a lot with this cover. I don't like tabs and I am very bad for looking the numbers of the frets, so I just learned by ear

I'm thinking about getting a short scale Fender Mustang my hands starting to get that Arteritis after years of abuse it's getting harder to stretch 4 frets wide .
Heck yeah buddy!! Greatly appreciated! Caught WSP play this and Schools killed it. Keep it up brother peace!

The bass part is 3x as hard as the guitars
@symptomoftheuniverse12614 жыл бұрын
Not so true but it's difficult too. I play both. I find it more exhausting at the guitar
@mythsqueuemusic4 жыл бұрын
The bass line isnt really that difficult most of it is just in a box pentatonic pattern. Though the rhythm is harder to keep on the bass for sure
@_KingofKingss4 жыл бұрын
Im a bass player idk which is harder but ill say bass is just more fun and fulfilling

@@symptomoftheuniverse1261 the bass needs more stamina, the riff is about the same as the guitar in term as hardness

hey man i have to play this at a gig tonight that im subbing for. I bought your chart. Thanks! As a studio musician, one comment: there are certain ways to write rhythms that make things easier to sight read etc. I'd love to help you out with just a few concepts. Send me a message! thanks a bunch!
