My GE microwave from 2005 finally crapped out. At first kzbin.infoUgkxO_Bc204MGjxDl87cOKcdgaRhzSqGmv_g I was unsure because I was looking for something with the exact same features. Found it with this one. Interior space cavity was large, but the outside was smaller than my old one. I love the one-button push for 1-6 minutes, and the 30 second add or 30 second start. and MOST IMPORTANTLY, I love how you can adjust the power level during cooking. The reviews said it could not be done, but this marked all the other boxes. and happy to say, it does. I can hit 1 minute start, and change the power level from 10 to 5, 30 seconds in, without interruption. my favorite feature!

Tried this, knife slid out okay after 6 minutes, so I cut it in half. still rock solid. Put the halves back in cut side down for 3 more mins, seemed to have softened, but once I tried eating it, was still undercooked and bone dry. medium potato, looked about the same size, pricked with fork, 900w microwave I honestly feel like I could follow a recipe for boiling water and it would start snowing

If the knife or fork dosn't picks the potato up is allready done ... Mr. chef 😁 If You don't poke deeper near middle the potato, there's a risk of explosion in the microwave 😉

I take the extra step of melting the cheese. After you remove the potato from the oven, add your ingredients and place back in the oven for about 5 minutes. Love melted cheese and it's great when you have a mix of cheeses!!

If you cut and fluff the potato as soon as you remove it from the heating element it is so much more fluffy and soft on the inside.

Has anyone done a taste test between a partially microwaved and fully baked potato? My suspicion is they taste more rubbery.

Dude If you really want to help people explain to them why they should never use a microwave because it destroys the life force in the beloved food. Cite all the scientific research. Put a knife blade through the length of the potato to greatly decrease the cooking time in a conventional oven. Or skewer.

@@david_reynolds3660 Ok you’re right. Please microwave everything you cook and see how fat and unhealthy you become? Or read the scientific studies before you continue using a microwave. Or don’t. The decision is yours.
